Were you drunk when you wrote that?
The idler is effectively elevating the chain line to negate chain growth, also known as pedal kickback. Most bikes nowadays are designed top have about 100% anti-squat at the sag point when using a specific size single front chainring. Raising the chain line above this lowers the anti-squat values so the bike won't pedal as efficiently as a consequence, but it makes the suspension more active when pumping terrain. You can't simply add this idler onto your stock Aurum (nor can you spell Aurum correctly
) because it requires a plate to be welded onto the swingarm. You can see the plate on an earlier prototype here If you want to see how chainline effects suspension kinematics on your Aurum, you can do so by changing to a larger or smaller chainring than the 34-36t that the bike is designed around. A larger ring will have less anti-squat and pedal kickback, smaller ring will have more anti-squat and pedal kickback. You could also hop on a modern mid travel trail bike with a double or triple chainring to simulate the same thing.
