Sam matthews Added a comment about feature Head to Head: e*thirteen LG1 Carbon vs. Aluminum Enduro Wheels

Hmmm I'm in 2 minds about them. I destroyed my rear wheel within 12 months, pulling spokes out at the hub and the rim end, 28 spokes just isn't strong enough for modern enduro bikes, and that's with regular servicing from my LBS. I'm not a big guy at all 85kg kitted up, however the trails I ride in the north of England are pretty spicy and techy. (see 3dumbs/50-01 vids for our local trails) having said that this isn't an isolated e-13 issue and has happened on other similar spec wheels. For me 32 spoke for strength in the...

We had a shaky start with the original SR Suntour RUX R2C downhill fork we tested back in 2014. After some refinements provided by the brand, however, the result was an outstanding review. SR Suntour is back at it in 2017 with their new 27.5” RUX R2C2. We’ve been rocking the new RUX for...

Sam matthews Added a comment about bike check 2016 Norco Aurum - Norco Factory Racing 'team edition'

I'm no expert but I believe an idler negates the effects of chain growth and its subsequent effect that has on suspension kinematics. Running an idler allows for a more rearward axle path which is seen as a positive characteristic in suspension movements by many. Without the idler the chain would stop the suspension moving fully through its travel. There is more to it but I've used up my quota of big words for the day now.

iceman2058 Liked a product review Tested: Royal Racing Storm Waterproof Short

Review by Johan Hjord // Photos by Nils Hjord and Johan Hjord There is no bad weather, only bad gear. That is especially true when it comes to riding in the wet and in the cold. With their roots and development in the UK, the Royal Racing crew knows a thing or two about what it takes to keep comfortable when the heavens open up, and the Storm short is their ultimate weapon for combatting adverse atmospheric conditions. We took aim for the puddles and we’re ready to let you know if it is up to the task at hand...
