they’ve thrown the eco thing in there too but I remember them saying these poles will look more professional than tape. They’ve also chosen electric snot as their signature color. so there’s that. I’ve abandoned pining for the good ol Red Bull days but I could see how they already have the perfect solution: completely enclose the track in plywood, ala Red Bull Crashed Ice. The funny thing is that there are only 41 women on the Elite start list. (I wish Kailey Skelton was racing. She's the US National Champ and it would have been nice to see her there.)
I think there was a World Cup race this year where there were 11 Junior women trying to qualify for 10 spots in the final.
wasn't it close like that a few years ago and after some dust ups, the UCI let the entire jr. women's field compete? i sure hope they don't cut a lone rider from elite women.
dunno if im supposed to be feeling anything about gopro 'highlights'. is it a lines thing or just editing for fast sections cuz... these riders are producing more than 60 seconds worth of watchable footage lets not kid ourselves. idk. weird. maybe im just salty at gopro cuz i will always be.

I have no idea how they set up the qualifying start order. For some reason Jonty Williamson was 39th of 80 riders on the published start list.
The start order is determined by the latest UCI individual ranking and is the same for both qualifying and finals. Not sure about why Jonty has that number, but he did drop in last today.

Top 3 in Junior women qualifying were: Rosa Marie Jensen, Tilly Boadle, and Indy Deavoll.
A big gap between 1st and 3rd: 11.3 seconds.
Aletha Ostgaard finished 11th, more than 17 seconds back.
No idea if weather is affecting conditions.
