Anybody hear joe breeden mention 3 hardline rounds in the downtime podcast.

Is that old news or still to be confirmed?

I believe there’s going to be one somewhere in BC. I’ve heard/read that a few times now. That would be sick. Hopefully they can keep pulling WC talent for these. In the middle of the season I think you’ll see less WC riders taking that chance.

Cypress is alleged to be the venue.

enduro and e-enduro world champs in finale - PR from world series below.

FINALE OUTDOOR REGION, LIGURIA TO HOST THE 2026 UCI MTB ENDURO & E-ENDURO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

From October 16 to 18, 2026, the “Home of enduro” will welcome the world’s best riders

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports are pleased to announce that the third edition of the UCI Mountain Bike Enduro and E-Enduro World Championships will take place in Finale Outdoor Region, Liguria, Italy, from October 16 to 18, 2026.

With over two decades of history rooted in outdoor sports and enduro riding, Finale Ligure and the Finale Outdoor Region have become one of the world’s most renowned mountain bike destinations. Since the first edition of Finalenduro in 2008, the region has continuously hosted the most prestigious international events, such as the Enduro World Series, including the Trophy of Nations, and the UCI Enduro World Cup, part of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series, alternating with the neighbouring town of Pietra Ligure. Finale has distinguished itself for the quality of its trails, its exceptional organization, and its deep connection with the authentic spirit of the sport.

Not to be a Karen. But WBD and UCI get consistent blame for killing enduro. But here we have some killer news, with world champs at THE iconic enduro venue and it has not made the slightest impact on here, the pink place or social media.

Maybe Enduro is just settling into its post birth and boom place?

Not a mention of the world snowbike champs happening this weekend. It's almost as if it doesn't register in the minds of anybody in the mountain biking world.

What a pity, eh ?

I thought the rear suspension did not look very well set -up in some clips. But I agree with your overall sentiment. That bike and Vali is gonna be a huge handful for the rest of the women racers. That YT is just a stiff, physical and pretty one-dimensional bike compared to what's possible on a V5.

Although the other girls ain't gonna be sitting still. So it's prob gonna be a very exciting year of racing

The fact it's on at the same time as the opening ceremony and week one of the Winter Olympics is also quite the joke hhahaha

VALI! looks so fast, strong and fit...also nice to see her back in a D4 and TLD kit-it's where she spent most of her helmet and kit years and just looks right on her. As long as she keeps reminding herself that this is just bikes, fun, she will be hard to beat in an overall title chase.

Her girlfriend is Mathilde Gremaud, a Swiss freeskier (defending Olympic champion). So it makes sense that she is present at the event.

Hope they're both on better form when you go to see them. At least Bundee will have seen off his suspension by then.

What Is BC Bike Fest?

BC Bike Fest brings together world-class racing on sick singletrack, anchored by a central festival basecamp and the best damn aprés in mountain biking.

The Festival HQ is at the Cowichan Exhibition Grounds, which is smack dab in the middle of 3 diverse trail networks: Maple Mountain (XC), Mount Tzouhalem (Enduro), and Mount Prevost (DH). This gives everyone quick access to a huge variety of riding from one home base.

Beyond the racing, the weekend includes live music, bike demos, and just-the-right-amount-of-chaos side events like the Rambo Bike Relay and Bike Toss. Race hard during the day, then kick back, swap stories, and lean into the festival vibes.

Produced by the team behind BC Bike Race, often described as summer camp for adults, BC Bike Fest delivers everything you want in a weekend of mountain biking.

Racing at BC Bike Fest

The 2026 BC Bike Fest race lineup includes:

Rolling Thunder XC
Saturday, May 30, 2026
Presented by Transition Bicycle Company

A short-format, all-mountain XC race built for riders who want fast trails, technical bursts, and signature BCBR flow, delivering the spirit of stage racing in a single-day format.

Rolling Thunder Adaptive XC
Saturday, May 30
Developed in close collaboration with adaptive riders, this event represents an important step forward in accessible mountain bike racing. Adaptive participation is growing, and BC Bike Fest is designed to grow with it.

BCBR Enduro
Practice: Saturday, May 30
Race: Sunday, May 31
Presented by Orbea
A one-day enduro showcasing Mount Tzouhalem’s dynamic blend of flow, technical terrain, and classic Vancouver Island character.

BCBR DH
Track Walk: Friday, May 29
Practice and Seeding: Saturday, May 30
Finals: Sunday, May 31
Amplified by Stereo Racing

A brand-new downhill race hosted on the legendary Mount Prevost, Vancouver Island’s premier DH venue and a globally respected proving ground made famous by Stevie Smith.

Registration for all BC Bike Fest races opens February 19, 2026. Sign up for updates and explore all race details at bcbikefest.com.

What About the BC Bike Race?

The BC Bike Race stage race remains the heart and soul of BCBR, grounded in giving racers from around the world the ultimate singletrack experience. In 2026, the multi-day stage race returns to Vancouver Island May 23–29, finishing on the first day of the festival.

Presented by Shimano and Rocky Mountain Bicycles, the 2026 BC Bike Race offers riders one last chance to experience the full seven-day journey before the race evolves in 2027.

Details on what’s next for BC Bike Race will be shared in March 2026. Stay tuned… It’s huge!

Limited spots remain for the 2026 BC Bike Race. Registration is open at bcbikerace.com.

What is the MegaVolt?

MegaVolt, a 3-day eMTB event, runs concurrently with BC Bike Fest from Friday, May 29 to Sunday, May 31, 2026.

ePowered by Bosch, MegaVolt features a curated mix of guided rides, the Trailforks Adventure Challenge, eMTB XC racing, and eEnduro racing, designed and delivered by the team behind BC Bike Race. Built by riders, guides, and race organizers with deep experience in eMTB events, MegaVolt is purpose-designed for how eMTBs are actually ridden.

MegaVolt operates as its own dedicated eMTB event, with separate registration, scheduling, and programming. More information is available at themegavolt.com.

Anyone have Cannonball updates? Elites should be on track now.

2/14/2026 6:35am

Well, the calendar says "2026" now, a new year is here, looks like just another year of Troy Brosnan still being one of the absolutely fastest riders in the world, business as usual...
