That's exactly the exception I was leaving room for: he might have owed the company a video before fulfilling his contract (and receiving the payment that comes with it). It would be an interesting look for Pivot/BK/whoever makes that decision to drop him right after he puts out a ripper of an edit.
Interestingly, that video seems to have been pulled down off the Pinkbike homepage and YouTube. I went to check to see if it was posted to his page or to Pivot's page and it's "been removed by the uploader."
Didn't Jake use the content from the launch video shoot to put his own edit together (which was sick)? Maybe Pivot wasn't keen on the content...
Didn't Jake use the content from the launch video shoot to put his own edit together (which was sick)? Maybe Pivot wasn't keen on the content being re-used… Or maybe they just got news of a change and didn't want him to use it now? We'll likely never know. The Jewett boys on a Canadian brand would be pretty rad.
So which team made up of fine upstanding gents will this young lady be joining next year?
X1 racing has a strong connection with Muc-Off, so hopefully a new female teamate for Pompon (that would add a serious amount of homies in the same team) (4XCombes rpz ♥ ).
Not sure about this tho, the team would be HUGE if Lisa and another male rider were added to the roster.
Just listened to the MUTN podcast. Doesn't sound very positive for Enduro , sounds like factory teams pulling out to support the more expensive new downhill...

There's no way Jakob would join a team, develop a bike and then leave when it's finished- what's the point in it??
I also wouldn't think Jake leaving is good for either him or Pivot. He's good for the brand in a way BK doesn't really participate in (moody edits, basically...and being Canadian). Unless Pivot picked up a rider or two who carries more points to guarantee them a spot in the 15 elite teams and had to cut budget. That makes me curious about Dane (I don't see him staying if Jake goes...they seem like a package deal a little bit) who would be moving up to elite if I'm not mistaken. New rules have a max of 4 riders per race per category.
If I remember correctly, Jake joined Pivot in 2022 (a quick goog reveals late-November/early-December 2022) so his contract might be up. A lot of rider contracts are only two years.
Maybe they pulled that video down to re-edit it into a "thanks to Pivot for the last couple years" video?
Hatherley joins Jayco World Tour road team and will be combining road and MTB. Riding Giant in XC.
It was rumoured a while ago - but none of the road world journalists ever picked up on it, which surprised me. I didn't expect it from MTB journalists, as it's not what they do.....

If you were to ask AG; seems like that’s the nature of the biz.
Norco needs a dawg to ride for them. Respectfully Lucas is not a consistent podium threat. Greg talked a huge game and will need to deliver to investors asap. There’s some banter around another Canadian rider on that roster too. FI, JJ, DJ, Kirk, CB, and Gracey would be a hell of a team. Unlikely but at some point the ranch needs to match the hat.
I think you can add Thomas Estaque to that list. Heard the rumour around and seems to be in Annecy hanging out with Laly according to...

What about Frix Frix?
Man, I loved that duo! To me, probably the most stylish out there. Not a fan of Commencal, but their video work is the best and ”Hurricane” featuring those two is probably my fave video of the decade. Actually, gonna rewatch it right now!

Per MUTN Frix Frix (and maybe Esatque? Can't remember the other rider they mentioned) is gonna be focusing on content, not racing...

Frix Frix has announced on IG that he's definitely not at the World Cups anymore. I think Thomas and Matteo will be continuing. They both proved that they have a place this year with Thomas on the podium and some very solid quali/semi action from Matteo.
Insane riders to watch! Anytime a video from any one of the three comes out you just know it's going to be amazing! That Tempo launch with Frix 🤯
Is there any benefit to being higher up the team listing? Other than risk of riders being poached having a bigger effect, is there any difference in being say 9th or 13th on the list?

No benefit at all, but it does buy you some breathing space if your team has issues with injuries, crashes etc. If you were say 13th-15th, and have a bad run of not scoring, you are suddenly looking iffy. This has happened with the road WorldTour relegations, which work on a rolling multi-year points total. Those teams a few spots above the cut-off can have a bad season and be in trouble and scrambling for points.
Or maybe Drake didn’t like them using his track

@Nico_Hrndz
She's not teaming up with any "Bad Boys".
He just posted a collab (or whatever it's called) w/ his Pivot and a wrap product tho: https://www.instagram.com/p/DB-pbR4TAhX/?img_index=1

Kelsey Urban (US XC national champ) off Team 31 for next season, don't know where she's going though...
Ratboy on Michelin

BK hunting UCI points in Indonesia, I thought Pivot had plenty to be top 15?

BK to norco!
I thought he was going to Orbea and Scott.
The man is too good for one team to handle.
Lada to Muc-Off
How many riders with the initials BK are there..?
Bodhi Kuhn
Hmmmm...4?
Bernard Kerr
Bas Keep
Boic Kruni
Breg Kinaar
Edit: 5 with Bodhi Kuhn
Any one else see Jordan Williams brother on a proto specialized? It was on his insta @prestonwilliams

IF Jake and Dane do leave PFR, that could explain Kerr hunting uci points...
Also, in the video he mentions Eddie's old Pivot gear bag. Could be stirring the pot.
Cabirou to Norco?
