Or is it a power inverter so Minnaar can keep his phone charged during race runs? The V10cc bikes don't have the longest shock stroke on the hill, so maybe a little help was needed to keep things cool.

The shock has a 3" stroke with 8.5" of travel...hardly seems "short" to me.

Shame no one said it was short otherwise you might have a point, also I think the V10 has a 2.75 stroke shock.

Reading...it's hard. The slide description says it doesn't have the longest stroke on hill, pretty obviously implying it's on short side and therefore heats up faster than longer stroke examples. But full doh face for me, as I wasn't aware SC went back to a 2.75" after going to a 3", so please accept my ever humble apologies.

Obviously that is an axxios sensor that uses quantum physics to make the shock better and less vibratey.

probably from North/Southbridge or onboard-graphics of a mainboard. But when I see the SC-Vids about Minnaar and Doughie talking about their bike-setup this could very well be a troll attempt for the gear-queer. I mean the contact surface isn't ideal and eben with a heatpad or past this mod would most likely not cool down anything. The contact surface be smaller than that of an average chip.

That was my take as well. Troll or not, that heatsink is probably doing absolutely nothing.
