But he is still wearing a a1 helmet. My guess is he will ride with a Giro helmet this year.

alpine stars doesn't have helmets.
he could still stick with troy lee, like jerome clementez that use them both

giro is for the shoes as he rides with them for some time now

This just in from IBIS:

Ibis Cycles is thrilled to announce the addition of riders Robin Wallner, Pedro Burns and Dillon Santos to the Ibis Cycles Enduro Race Team. They will be joining forces with team veterans Anita and Caro Gehrig, and Gary Forrest. Mary Moncorgé moves from racer into the team manager position.

2015 saw Robin Wallner make his Enduro World Series debut. Coming from World Cup downhill he racked up three top 20 finishes in the final races of the season, including an impressive 14th in Whistler. With full factory support from Ibis, he has sights firmly set on cracking the top ten this year.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to ride for Ibis in 2016. When I was first approached by Mary I sort of felt right away that this could really be what I need if I want to try and contest the EWS-series. After meeting and talking to Tom and the crew at Ibis I really feel like it's a great family I have come into and I am very impressed with how dedicated everyone is to the team. I have been riding the HD3 for a while already and I am stoked with how well it handles everything from rough downhills, cornering and jumps as well as pedaling. I am looking forward to a very fun summer with the team and to being a part of this great family." - Robin Wallner

The Gehrig twins wrapped up the 2015 season respectively with a 6th and 11th overall in the Enduro World Series. With the women’s field blown wide open this year, they are on a mission to finish in the top five this year.

Gary Forrest will be attacking 2016 with a vengeance. After a horrific crash at round three in 2015 left him with broken vertebrae, his road to recovery has been a long one. Coming into 2016 he is 100% fit and hungrier than ever to show the world how fast he is.

Pedro Burns is a Junior phenom from Chile who conquered the Chilean Elite National title against a stacked field. With the first two rounds in South America this year Pedro will have the home crowd behind him as he starts his hunt for the under 21 world title.

Dillon is a California U21 shredder. He has been at the forefront of the California Enduro Series result sheets, battling America’s fastest racers. Dillon will focus on the California Enduro Series again, as well as the Big Mountain Enduro Series, and select rounds of the Enduro World Series.

Here is the full announcement regarding the all-new Cube Global Squad - the brand's first foray into the world of World Cup DH racing:

Greg Williamson & Matt Walker sign with CUBE Global Squad

CUBE is well known for their full suspension bikes, but has been absent from the downhill scene for a long time. In 2016, with their all-new Two15 Bike, Europe’s leading bike company has joined forces with BTC Racing to form the CUBE Global Squad. From the get go, the main objective was to build a competitive bike that can compete on the World Cup circuit.

Michael Prell, head of suspension development commented:
“The goals we wanted to achieve with the development of the new Two15 were to build a race ready bike for the DH World Cup”, said CUBE´s Michael Prell. “That is still adaptable to the different requirements of each rider and to keep it reliable but also lightweight so we use aluminum.“

Greg Williamson from Scotland and Matt Walker from New Zealand will ride in 2016 under the flag of the CUBE Global Squad. Greg is only 23 years old but has already managed to a get some solid results under his belt. Along with Matt Walker, the 25-year-old privateer for the last couple of years, the Squad's roster is complete.

The team manager Andi Nitsche is very optimistic for the upcoming season: “Greg and Matt are great individuals and I'm more than stoked to have both guys on the team. Matt impressed me in 2015 when he managed to nail an impressive 11th place finish at MSA out of nowhere. I knew from the beginning that I wanted this guy on the roster. Along with Greg who has proven many times he has the momentum to gain frequent top results and has some experience being a part of a professional race team, the CUBE Global Squad is complete. It’s gonna be a hell of a year.“

Greg Williamson (United Kingdom)

During his young career, Greg has achieved several top 30 positions including a 9th place finish at Méribel 2014. “I'm honored to be approached by CUBE Bikes/Bliss Protection. Proud to be representing such a good family of people and from what I have seen already is enough to put my utmost trust in them and now all that's left is for me to give back the results! Joining 'the CUBE Global Squad' as the new factory team is cool for me because it's a blank canvas in World Cup Downhill and so I look forward to letting the 'Two15' bike loose at #WC1 - Lourdes.“

Matt Walker (New Zealand)

Matt is a man of many faces. From City Downhill, to Crankworx and UCI Downhill, he does it all. “After doing the hard time as a privateer I am so pumped to be on board with the CUBE Global Squad and to have the support needed to race consistently and competitively at the highest level. Straight away I'm feeling at home on the bike and with a dream build and ultimate support from the team’s sponsors the bike is dialed and 2016 is looking to be a great year! I am hoping to improve on last season’s results with more consistency and with the correct preparation that I now have in place I feel 2016 is going to be my best season yet!“

Nico Quere stays with Commencal and adds RockShox suspension for 2016
------------------------
Press Release from Commencal

Pictures: Ben'Art

Nicolas Quere News: RockShox and a Customised Contract

Nico, everyone knows him. Above all he’s a committed rider with style, humor and according to his mood, he’ll put on a show that’s for sure!

In 2016, he’s opted for a variety of events throughout the season. The one and only MEGAVALANCHE in Alpe d'Huez, the Enduro World Series in La Thuile (Italy) and Varberg-Guillaumes (France), Enduro Series (Raon L'Etape, Val d'Allos, Millau, Les Orres and Samoëns) the MAXIAVALANCHE (Cervinia and Vallnord) and especially video projects!

In terms of his bike and equipment, he remains faithful to the META AM V4! The news comes in the form of his suspension, he will ride a RockShox Pike RCT3 and Monarch Plus Debonair RC3.

For transmission, the bike will be equipped with SRAM X1, together with RS Guide brakes and a ROCKSHOX Reverb Stealth 125mm seatpost. A beautiful SRAM outfit if you like! E-Thirteen TRS+ crankset, RIDE ALPHA handlebars and Freeride 50mm stem complete the package.

For those who have noticed, this is exactly the same set-up as the Race version of the META AM 2016 V4!

For wheels, Nico chose RIDE ALPHA Enduro 650b, available after-market at www.commencal-store.com. He also takes advantage of his partnership with Michelin tyres and Crankbrothers for pedals.

Max Commencal:
"We often talk about our team as a family and if there's one person who confirms this type of relationship, it’s Nico. He doesn’t always make the difference with podium appearances; we almost gave up on that (laughs)! But his style together with his personality and his kindness mean that neither he, nor we, imagine that he will ever ride any bike other than the META. Nico, having played a key part in the origin of the birth of this family and to the growth of the discipline of enduro, will continue to ride on this bike in 2016. I'm more than happy."

Nicolas Quere:
"I am very happy to continue with COMMENCAL in 2016. I grew up with this brand and I can’t see myself riding anything else. I really like my META AM V4 Race. I am comfortable and confident on this bike! Anyway I'm motivated and ready to go flat out in the new season."

More team news, this time it's SCOTT USA and their impressive roster of cross-discipline supported riders (not including the teams Gstaad-SCOTT, SCOTT-ODLO, and the SCOTT-SR Suntour enduro team, plus individual riders like Nico Vink, Vincent Tupin, and more):

SCOTT SPORTS USA adds Amanda Cordell, Sonya Looney, and Stan Jorgensen
Returning XC and freeride athletes for 2016 include Teal Stetson-Lee, the SCOTT-3Rox team,
Paul Basagoitia, Kyle Jameson, and KC Deane

Salt Lake City, Utah: SCOTT SPORTS is pleased to formally welcome Amanda Cordell, Sonya Looney, and Stan Jorgensen to our roster of sponsored athletes. Amanda and Stan have been on SCOTT bikes for several years as part of the Freehub Media enduro team, and SCOTT is happy to keep them on Genius trail bike and Gambler downhill frames in 2016. And despite being new to the SCOTT Spark and Genius frames, Sonya is already on her way to Chile for the Trans Andes Challenge stage race. Finally, Todd Wells will ride SCOTT bikes as part of the SRAM/Troy Lee Designs racing team.

“I’m excited to be riding SCOTT bikes as I race ultra-endurance events and enduros around the world,” said Sonya. With over a decade of mountain bike racing experience, she’s become a specialist in epic multi-day races all over the globe. Sonya is the current 24-hour world champion, and she counts 24 career wins as a professional rider. She’s got a full schedule of adventure and enduro events in 2016 that will keep her away from her adopted Canadian home town of Kelowna, BC.

Amanda Cordell is no stranger to SCOTT bikes. She’s well established on her Gambler downhill bike as a second-year professional on the ProGRT circuit, after winning the Cat 1 national championship in 2013.
Additionally, Amanda has a great fan base, with over 160,000 cumulative video views on the most popular MTB media sites. “My plan is to be stronger than ever in 2016, mentally and physically,” says Amanda. After finishing 4th in the 2015 SCOTT Enduro Cup series, she’s training even more with an eye toward climbing the podium at both downhill and enduro events.

Todd Wells joins the SRAM/Troy Lee Designs Race Team in 2016 and will ride SCOTT bikes. “The SRAM/TLD program is very unique in that the athletes get to choose the bike they want to ride,” said Todd, in an interview with SRAM. “When I talked to SRAM about joining the program, there was only one bike I wanted to ride: Scott.” Todd will compete in a range of events including U.S. Cup/PROXCT, Marathon, XC, Epic Rides events, Leadville, Breck Epic and some Cyclocross in the fall.

Teal Stetson-Lee and Stan Jorgensen campaigned on SCOTT bikes in 2015 and return in 2016. Teal won the 2015 SCOTT Enduro Cup series and Stan was 5th. Teal is currently making travel plans to compete in the first few rounds of the EWS series in South America, and Stan will focus on California and the Pacific Northwest.

The SCOTT-3Rox team returns for 2016 with Geoff Kabush, Derek Zandstra, Cameron Jette, and Erin Huck. “Once again I’m truly grateful to have such incredible bikes, equipment, and the support from SCOTT SPORTS,” said Geoff. “It’s great to see the new and returning athletes and can’t wait to see everyone at the races!” With the 2016 Rio Olympic Games on the horizon, and with multiple selection candidates on the team, SCOTT-3Rox will be more focused than ever at national and World Cup cross country events.

On the freeride side, riders Paul Basagoitia, KC Deane, and Kyle Jameson return to trails around the world. Kyle has made a name for himself on the Fest Series circuit. “For the 2016 season I want to ride smooth and consistent, riding in all of the Fest Series stops as well as work on the bigger picture for FEST,” said Kyle. “I also want to coach the young rippers in Whistler, work on filming some personal web or video edits, and finish off the year with Rampage.”

Paul Bas continues to recover from his injury sustained at the RedBull Rampage. Check out irideforpaul.com to follow his recovery.

KC successfully mixes a winter of ski adventures with a summer of bike photography and video work.

Let’s get this season started!

I would say he's riding one of Gwin's old sleds. I dont think it's that big a clue at all.

Well @brianlopes and @mitchropo were definitely together today so it would seem that could be the mystery rider but why so much build up and hype ?

Specialized makes an ambush in that same color. The guy looks way too tall to be mitch. Dean Lucas has posted pictures of being in the U.S. that's who I figure it is.
