Could be possible but that pic is from October 17, 2014? Wish some more stick art would come soon to fuel the rumors.
'tis an old pic but the seeds of a team with Palmer at the helm could have been sown a lot time ago. Combined with the sketch of the Palmeresque crown and 'a new king' written in french it seems a possibility to me.

Also with the new M16C being a carbon copy of the V10 (pun intended) it might not be a bad move for Bruni in terms of equipment.

Gwin in Pittsburgh for Audi:

They make this so it seems pretty clear who he's gonna be riding for. Not KTM morons:

Woah...so it's all change at the Syndicate? Or are SC just redecorating?

Peaty retires to make way for a certain Frenchman...no way!

That corner was showcasing all of the Syndicate's race V10s over the years. Assuming those bikes are going back to their owners (Doug) and they are updating the pics on the walls. Not huge news but interested to see what's going on those walls next!

Thanks @Hittheshowers13. Having not seen the backdrop prior to the white paint (or the bikes displayed in front of it), I was a bit unsure of the significance. Cheers for clearing that up.

Thanks @RacketSound. No mistaking there's some kind of change going on now. I'm off to an event on Friday where Greg is a guest speaker. I'll ask "what's going on?" if I get chance.

That's actually an old pic. They had about 12 bikes all lined up in the corners. I can't find it for the life of me. Definitely the sickest display of legendary hardware I have seen.

Damn that's some serious redecorating... Is the syndicate no more, or at least in its current form?

Hard to imagine that crew splitting up... GM and Roskopp seem like boys, Peaty is Peaty, and can't imagine them letting Rat go after 2 very solid seasons

I heard Peaty's stepping down for a young American to join the team....

Did Peaty's rehab not go as well as initially planned?

Audi is from Ingolstadt, in the south east of Germany.

Could you imagine an Aaron Gwin/Audi version of Greg Minnaar/Honda? Doubt VW group would throw money into MTB after the emissions scandal though.

They are expecting loses in range of 10 billions, no way they would start something completely from scratch under such circumstances...

Looks to me like Audi and RedBull are shooting some kind of advert. With the mention of snow in Gwin's post, this is where I think Audi's involvement is likely to be, afterall they are title sponsor of the FIS Ski World Cup and sell shed loads of quattro equipped cars to people who enjoy winter sports.

A link up between Red Bull, Audi and Gwin would be possible though. Audi provide cars for Martin Soderstrom and skier Jon Olsson here in Sweden, also Red Bull athletes.

Branching out into eco-friendly sports such as mountain biking could be just what the doctor ordered for a company recovering from the emissions scandal. The company is still worth billions even after the fines, so sponsoring Gwin is a drop in the ocean for them.

If a thing like an Audi project is happening, it has been started before the scandal. And what better way to clear your image than to do a zero emissions bike project? Tongue

No, i'm not saying they are doing it, i don't even see it. They might be a major sponsor maybe, but that's it. The Athertons have Jeep on board after all.

EDIT: about Audi being worth billions, Volkswagen group (which owns Audi, Porsche, Bugatti, Bentley, etc. etc.) last year had over 200 billion dollars in income. Just to give people an idea how huge companies like these are.
For a comparison, the global cycling (not even MTB ) industry is worth ~50 billion dollars.

Audi+Gwin sounds hillarious but possible. Honestly with the budget they have, paying a rider like Gwin is neglectable for them.

Oh god, i just remembered something. With TWR gone, what is Emily Batty doing? She's still posting on Instagram covering Trek. Surely she's staying with them? (could she go to Unior??)
