That´s a Last Herb DH. Last is a small german (and rider-owned) company that produces this wonderful frame among a few other things. It´s also been featured in last year´s Dirt 100. A friend of mine bought one and I wanted one ever since. The ride´s fantastic. When the opportunity presented itself a few weeks ago (he switched to a V10) I went for it. Currently it weighs in at about 18,2 Kilos, but I guess with some new wheels and such it will go well below 18.

The small chainring (36t) comes into play when combined with the 10-speed rear mech. That´s a 2011 X9 with a 12-36 cassette which gives me a neat 1:1 (or 1:3 on the small ring) ratio. I chose that because a lot of the riding around here has no uplifts available whatsoever and I want to be able to pedal a few hills without completely killing myself. And yes, there will be a telescopic seatpost on it one day. I like to think of it as an oversized Enduro Wink
Ahh. Gotcha. For some reason I thought the chainring was smaller, like a 34. Nice ride!

Modded Black Market Riot:

Brake mounts, cable guides, and that brace between seatstay and chainstay on the brake side all grinded off. Dropouts slotted in about 5-6mm and then chopped at the ends. 1cm lopped off the seattube.

Built bombproof and light at 24.38 pounds.

shitty cell phone picture after the first ride of the season. I picked this rig up for $900 a couple months ago. '06 frame and '07 fork, rides great!

I'll eventually update when I wash it and have a better camera

Here's my new Banshee Spitfire. I've been needing a dedicated trail bike for a while now!

What size is that bad boy? Sure looks like a ripper.

Care for some kind of review? Or maybe one is in the pipeline?

That's a large and I absolutely love it. Bike Mag summed up my overall impressions of the bike pretty well - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.202322723138759.43240.151390381565327
