I'm proud that the Vital MTB audience is full of engaged, dedicated, and experienced mountain bikers. There is also a blossoming community of new riders joining our sport and getting more serious about riding, which means trails get more used.
I want you, the Vital MTB audience, to recommend trail advocacy groups that you support because you believe they're doing quality, thoughtful trail work in their community. Let's encourage new riders to support these trail groups, too!
Thank you to all who give us great trails to ride! -gordo

Most of Washington: Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance
Eight local chapters include Cascade to Sound (Seattle Area, obviosuly the biggest and most active), Kittatas (Ellensburg), West Sound (Kitsap County), Southwest (Vancouver area), Methow Valley (Way out in the boonies), and Eastside (Spokane). We're set to exceed 8000 members this year, which is bonkers.

Bellingham: Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition
Super duper active and responsible for Galbraith, Chuckanut, and many many many more projects around the Bellingham area. In my (limited) experience, I haven't seen another public MTB trail advocacy group in America that's doing a better job building true technical trails.https://www.wmbcmtb.org/
Olympia area: Friends of Capitol Forest
Responsible for the classic Capitol Forest stuff, but also the new North Slope trails and the Sub-Black Hills riding area.

Olympic Peninsula: Olympic Dirt Society
These are the guys behind the NW Cup and the Dry Hill bike park. Obviously, their work speaks for itself.

Previously the Santa Barbara Mountain Bike Trail Volunteers. Incredibly trail organization that has rebuilt many trails ruined by fires and is creating new sick trails all the time!

The California Mountain Biking Coalition is a 501c4 nonprofit organization, incorporated in 2019 in the State of California. We grew out of the recognized need for a state-wide voice for mountain bikers in California. Our growing member organizations represent over 10,000 riders across the state of California, and we exist to ensure that their voices are considered by state-level policy makers, legislators, and government agencies.
