This is one of the best things ever, can't believe there aren't more comments. Dunno why but Warner's BS is very enjoyable to listen to. And can we have a check on his TR too? Surely he doesn't run 203s on that as well? Probably does actually thinking about it

i am surprised to see an ardent on there in the exo casing. i am no where near the rider peaty is and not his size and i tear that tire on local trails; i can't imagine that tire lasting long under peaty

When you slackwn head angle,angle goes down , not up (eg. 67 to 65) so yes, -2 would be right

In my experience anything over 30mm internal just adds drag, quite noticeably for a light weight rider. We did rolling tests and the 35mm rims created a lot of drag with similar tyres on smaller rims. I wasn't able to get the WT tyres a few months back so I went back to ~30mm rims. Same effect of WT tyres having less drag and less unsprung and rotational weight. Bigger isn't always better. I like what Maxxis have done with the WT tyres (though I haven't tried them) but they seem like an answer to a problem that needn't exist...

Last I heard they had a May/ April ETA for the new Capra (redesign) but now I'm wondering if they've pushed it back to 2018.

When it stops being a bicycle and becomes something else then we have an issue. Until then it should be fair game. There's nothing dangerous about 29" wheels, I see no reason for restrictions. The only arguments I see against 29er wheels in racing seem to come not from a practical point of view but are born out of the stigma attached to 29" wheels. Big wheels for big guys/ small for small guys is not a thing. They have the same pros and cons no matter what your size.
