I thought one of the 5050's strengths was its thickness. You see a lot of world cup guys on 5050's, Burgtecs' and Straightline's, and none of those are thin. I think the "thinner is better" thing is probably more internet lore than reality, like the obsession with low front ends on downhill sleds.

11 minutes in I realized that my whole body was tense, because in my brain I was actually riding. Best helmet cam I've seen in a while. Bellingham has some LONG trails.

I've never wanted a bike so bad. Both were equally rad at the time of their release, and both absolutely crushed everybody else. 8 sec at Kaprun, 6 seconds at Pila, and Champery, of course. This bike made shit happen.
