SylentK Added a comment about feature What's In / What's Out - Mountain Biking in 2024
1/8/2024 5:08am Curious why the Whizz is out for skiing? Got some bros heading there in March for a ski trip, and we're from Colorado. But, TBH, the snow is crap so far. Need about another 2 feet. Not that they can control snow, I'd say Vail Resorts is out.

You do realize that insurance companies are considering very strongly not covering vaccine deaths now? A french court just ruled against a family who had a love one who died and it was registered as a VAERS death. No life insurance and the court ruled it suicide. Life Ins companies and funeral companies are reporting up to 40% increase in deaths in the very safe 25-49 demo. Wonder why? Over 400 pro athlete deaths since the Vax was forced on the world . Most were soccer players as they are probably the most cardio intense of any sport. Many very...

SylentK Added a reply to The HUGE downside of EMTB's
10/24/2021 9:46am Some great comments. I'm on my 2nd ebike. I sold my first (Scott eGenius) to my friend who left mtb a loooong time ago for moto. Long story short he sold his moto and loves the ebike, and now we are riding together quite often. Where we hadn't ridden together in like 10 years. I still have a regular mtb...

SylentK Added a comment about feature Wheel To Wheel Comparison - Reserve's 30|SL VS Roval's Control Carbon
9/25/2021 7:39am I'm on my second set of Rovals. First being 27.5 Traverse carbon SL's in an outdated hub width. Now I'm on 29er Roval Traverse carbon SL's. Both have proven to be excellent. They use DTSwiss hubs and can't complain about the compliability (flex?) of the rims. I broke a spoke before I flatted a tire. That's pretty awesome. Especially when you're in the back country of Utah and didn't bring spares.

I was there! GM's rock jump was legendary. That track was awesome. You can still see remnants, like under that lift (which is now Gondi 1), unfortunately that's a new hiking only trail. Bummer. It's a little foggy, I remember trying to flirt with Marla Streb at a bar/club late that night. I am not a good flirter. Ask my wife. Ha! Also, don't tell my wife :D

2/8/2020 9:11am Generalizing everyone that has ridden an eMTB "E-MTBers act like they the exception to the rules"....is bullshit. As I say in every trail meeting i've been to when this is brought up, we have always had 'an asshole' problem, it existed before electrics. This problem exists in skate, snow, surf, tennis, golf, etc.....not everyone is a cool law abiding person. So theres that. Oh, and your analogy about the bikes being heavier causing more damage-is funny. So-I am 140lbs, am I supposed to call anyone 160lbs and up a 'trail terrorizer'? Your last comment about EMTBers being rich, not working...

SylentK Added a reply to Former Trek Executive's Open Letter to Bike Industry About E-Bikes
2/7/2020 2:38pm I agree. I know this sounds weird, but if you actually ride an ebike, you understand this. It is totally not a motorcycle. You still have to pedal on ebikes. The feeling is more like someone is pushing from behind, not a motor laying down horsepower. If you don't ride bikes normally, of course you may be a bit intimidated...

2/7/2020 2:25pm "The industry also needs to stop presenting that we are somehow better than motorized users because we have to pedal to access that power. It is immaterial that a motorcycle does not have to be pedaled." Nope. Pedal assist (along with speed caps) is the clear differentiator from a traditional motorcycle. There is a big difference between how you ride something with pedal assist and how you ride something with a throttle. With an eBike you get assistance on the way up (the power isn't free and is still limited by user output). On the way down you ride it...
