Cool stuff here. I am however upset with myself that l literally just bought a 2022 Pike 3 days ago, at full price no doubt.. facepalm. Why on earth could RS not make dampers not backwards compatible?? That's a huge kick in the nads to customers.

So dope! How has the coil been? I know they changed the leverage curve a bit this year, making it a bit less progressive. Rides great? After countless in-stock notification list tries, I finally managed to grab a alloy frame last week. I happened to be in my email account when the alert came through. I saw that it had come in stock like 13 minutes before I noticed the email, hurried to Wiggle and bam! Have no idea how I'm gonna build it up, as I'd almost given up hope and started focusing on building a home gym, haha...

Oh for sure, no bashing at all against those guys. I just meant specifically with the builds here. Speaking of Specialized, I was torn between a Stumpjumper Evo and this until the details were released. The Evo Pro Carbon would get 6/5 stars for value if this gets 4 at the same price point. "C" frame, Stylo cranks and Code R brakes on a $6,599 bike with mid-teir suspension is just off the mark. People will buy the shit out of it though, so who am I to comment really.

I guess I didn’t equate quality to price. D4 composite costing $176 less weighing 50g more and offering the same safety features.

Your statement is true in that your seated position relative to the bottom bracket remains the same, but realize that the front end continues to grow in length with each size and has an impact on your seated climbing position. This is what we were getting at with that quote. Due to the slack seat tube angle, the Evil has a very long effective top tube length relative to its reach. A size large, for example, has a 647mm top tube for its 452mm reach. The Orbea comes in at 644mm/485mm for an XL, Specialized at 637mm/483mm XL, Transition 650mm/500mm...

Thanks heaps, was a fun build. Medium, I'm 5.9/175 and fits like a glove for me. Bike is amazing with the coil, not sure how it compares to an air in the back as haven't compared. Highly recommend the Sentinel

Nice!! What size? What's your height and inseam? How are you liking that coil out back!!? Deciding between the Sentinel and the new Wreckoning. No demo opportunity, so it's tough to decide. Amazing build you have right there!

It's so odd... I've been emailed about your previous responses, but they aren't posted here when I click the link. At any rate, thanks for the info on height/inseam. Seems I'd likely be size large, but we'll see, if I can ever manage a demo before deciding. It's gonna be the Wrecking V3 or the Sentinel V2, most likely. Somewhat considering the Druid, but want more travel for the parks. Thanks again!
