I've been doing trying for the same characteristics by going alloy 30mm up front and carbon 27mm in back. F: e13TRS+ R: e13TRSr carbon I've loved the results and sense wondered why companies didn't sell this as a package for sub $1k. I feel like a lot of people would jump on the combo and the Dentists would scoop up all the remaining carbon front wheels.

I can tell you that being off a DH bike for also 6 years and on trail bikes then finally buying one (2 weeks ago) was an outstanding decision. I bought a red Tues which a pretty solid spec but even if it had heavier wheels and a even more budget drivetrain I'd be happy. Is a fully budget DH...

He was pretty close to racing a stock (not this one) on his 1st race with YT right? But I agree if he wins the overall with at least a race to go it'd be stick to see him crush it on one of these.
