Gut feeling, but I would say that is very much dependant on the geometry of the two short links and the dogbone as they define the movement of the seatstay and chainstay. And that will of course define how much antirise you will have depending on which you mount the brake to. FWIW, commencal did move the pivot on the Supreme V5 mid development, it used to be on the seatstay and is on the chainstay for the production model. That means the brake is mounted, effectively, to the other link (was on the chainstay, is now on the seatstay).

With how bulky the bb area looks, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a concentric pivot there. And not a lot of room with the rear tire. Hopefully someone can snap a picture showing the rear brake mount at some point. I haven’t had the opportunity to draw up a 6 bar on linkage. Had a hard time getting it...

Without a closer look I'm not sure if the lower link is concentric to the BB or not, but I think you're probably right with the six-bar. Plus the split pivot allows you (in theory) to completely change the anti-rise by changing the link the brake is mounted to, while keeping everything else the the same kinematics-wise.

Given how high the seat stays seem to be connected to the front triangle on the new Canyon, I wouldn't be surprised if it is a 6 bars design.

Yes. If it's a single pivot, you are very limited as to where you put the main pivot to achieve the desired antisquat and thus what the characteristic through the travel will be. With a virtual pivot point (Horst link included) you have a lot more freedom where you put the pivots and what the characteristics are. I mean compared to a single pivot, there is still an envelope that you have to work in.

If the brake mount is on the chainstay it’s likely a very similar design to what I drew before. The forbidden supernought is arguably very similar also. It’s just a Horst link instead of a split pivot. The split pivot version keeping a true single pivot axle path. If the brake is mounted to the seatstay. It’s possibly a 6...

Antirise wise yes, antisquat wise no.

Maybe they're just covering up a wate bottle cage. That's pretty cutting edge on a DH bike.

my guess with the concentric rear pivot. Hard to tell if the brake is on the the chainstay or seatstay though. This design would typically be chainstay mounted. lots of bulk down by the bb though also. Hard to say what else could be going on

Roots_rider Added a comment about press release DT Swiss Introduces All-New Complite Spokes

I use bladed spokes on my front wheel builds, symmetrically laced, with the leading spokes inside the flanges. The extra forging of the bladed spoke theoretically means less potential for stretch. So using it this way creates a stiffer wheel with less deflection under hard braking. In more theory they have better lateral compliance, especially laced a little under max hub tension. So it creates a front wheel with better compliance. I use comps or alpine 3 on rear wheels at maximum recommended hub tension in an asym lace, for the stiffest rear wheel possible. I’ve run this setup on...

Press release is lacking. The link to details at the bottom has everything on the website. New bladed 2.0 spoke offering, 2.3/1.5 blade. Need to compare them to aerocomps, those have been my go to option for front wheels the last few builds

Chris Canfield designed CBF (and has a few other suspension designs) Suspension Formulas – Kinematics by Chris Canfield (suspension-formulas.com). Lance designs the bikes. Progressive with the 5th element was pretty advanced back in the early 2000s. Also consider Mert Lawwill with his suspension design work

Dude, when the man said ”influencers”, he actually meant the people who PUT IN THE WORK and changed our bikes for the good, not some guys from YouTube, who turn some knobs and are all in for the news. Before there were influencers of today, followed on social media, the people who were influencing stuff were the ones who worked in certain domains, mostly behind the scenes, and used their work to change their respective industries for the better. There is a misunderstanding. Pilgrim and Boostmaster are probably nice people, but they are definitely not bike or suspension engineers, just...

The tools are provided by EXT USA but Syndicate gets them as well. For a little clarity, the owner of Suspension Syndicate is also one of the Co-owners of EXT USA so the two companies work very closely together.

I get what you're saying, but I started it as just brands I could think of with no research (meaning, I had at least heard of them myself). I was able to get near 80 before I started asking for input or looking anything up. At this point, if someone wants to start color-coding tiers, they can, but I just did this out of boredom and the results really shocked me. I asked a buddy who has been riding for a few years now (and is pretty good) but isn't hardcore into it how many brands he would guess there...
