I have not ridden the new Enduro 29, really interested in trying it out, but no demo options around this area. Sorry I cant help out more. If anyone wants to give me the opportunity to ride one, I would love to write a review and compare the two bikes more!

11/17/2017 9:53am Santa Cruz - I was blown away on how far over I could get the bike on a corner, not to mention how much speed you carried through each corner as well.

Rconroy Started a new thread Cranks for a new build
3/30/2016 1:47pm I am going to be building up a new Spartan carbon frame and have been trying to figure out what cranks to run. I've been looking at the RF turbine, new shimano XT (m8000), Sram X1, or used XTR (previous gen M980). All of these cranks run about the same price so I was curious what people thought would be...

3/29/2016 11:27am Definitely single ring up front, how much does the chainline effect shifting, and chain retention?

2/3/2016 7:54pm Isn't there a new helmet from Bell/Giro that has a external shell that is design to slide away during twisting impacts like this?

Rconroy Added a comment about press release Telemetry For Everybody - Introducing SussMyBike
10/30/2015 12:13pm Right, theres always more than one way to skin a cat, I would be curious to see back to back comparisons between both products, see which is more accurate, and which is more easily used with their corresponding app.

10/30/2015 5:44am I wonder how this compares to that other kickstarter that used shock pressure to monitor suspension usage, (ShockWiz)

Rconroy Added a comment about feature 26 Ain't Dead - Build A Killer Ride For Less Than You Think
1/26/2015 5:57pm i would agree: http://www.norco.com/bikes/mountain/all-mountain/sight-alu/sight-a-71/ http://konaworld.com/process_134.cfm Two great bikes with modern geo, and new wheel size, both at $2800

I have also rode the remedy as well, and I would agree that I like that bike more, but if trek were to come out with a version of this bike with a slightly slacker head angle I would prefer that over the remedy, as I felt the Remedy was a bit sluggish while climbing. At this point (over a year since i reviewed this bike) there are tons of bikes that fill that category (shorter travel 29ers with agressive angles), from transition, banshee, evil and even specialized with their EVO camber. Which is a bike that Trek is still...

Rconroy Added a reply to Do you use climbing-specific suspension features like lock-out?
1/13/2015 9:19am I will if its a long climb, really like the climb switch on my DB-inline, and I tend to keep the rear shock on my other bike in trail mode most of the time, unless there is a long fire road climb or non-technical climb

I've ridden one of the first Alloy ones earlier this year, and my local shop has a carbon demo ready to be built up. The alloy version was a bit on the heavy side, and a bit sluggish on the climbs. Climbing was fine, and had tons of traction but acceleration was a bit slow. On the downhills the bike felt like a mini downhill bike, almost scary fast. I think the alloy version would be awesome for a gradual climb, like up a fire road (like what youd see all over the PNW), and then a long descend. Around...

Rconroy Added a comment about bike check Devinci Spartan
7/3/2014 10:41am I've ridden the RC, it handles descending amazing, and climbs ok for how much the stock weight is. I've been waiting for the bike to pop up on the products section so I can do a full review. Ya along the lines that Roots_rider said, the Spartan is almost scary fast.
