From 2016 EWS in Chile. Now go read the list of ingredients on that Alphamine he's about to scoop in that bottle and you'll see higenamine listed. In 2016, when this photo was taken, it was not on the list of specified substances but was added in 2017. You can draw your own conclusion as to how it may or may have not ended up in a water bottle in 2018, and the degree to which that constitutes either willful doping/cheating or negligence of WADA updates resulting in a violation of the rules. Hey Jeff, there have been a few instances across the several years of EWS where the water stops have run out of water, and the race in question was one of them, these guys are coming through the Aid stations after several hundred riders, and sometimes they just run out. Every ews rider is told to prepare for 2 hours unsupported on the bike, and our guys always do. so it was one of those shitty situations. dude.. it was an accidental ingestion for a banned substance you can find over the counter. the doping agency investigated and "Agreed" it was an accidental ingestion. you act like these guys where caught using testosterone or EPO. if you want to hate these guys for a mistake or oversight, that's fine. but to accuse them of intentional cheating or long term cheating is without basis and consider "defamation". The evidence was presented and a foreign doping agency was able to review all the facts. Bringing outside criticism without looking at the whole situation and basing that on headlines rather than reading through all the evidence is not fair. He's been open about everything, respected the suspension without talking shit and will let his positive attitude and riding speak for themselves. Richie is a stand up guy, has dominated racing for years without needing to dope, and will continue to do so no matter what you think about him. That was one of the most exciting WCDH races I've watched in a long while. Gwin's wipeout was wild. Run after very exciting run and Peirron's run was NUTS. You could tell he was really on the hairy edge, full mach chicken, and then almost looses it right across the finish line!?! That was awesome. Rob Warner was in good form on the mic today too, keeping the excitement up.

Gotta love the hypocracy... Do you want the truth or not? You can't be mad that he didn't want this posted and then also mad that once it was posted he gave the details of the story which involved an error on the part of his mechanic. Maybe he didn't want it posted because then he would feel obligated to give the details of the story... Which ultimately would have to place blame somewhere. You guys just seem out for blood on his sponsor. Human error is real. Parts breaking is real. Get over it.

I shoulda been more descriptive and explained things better in that initial comment so that I'm not having to go back and clarify now.
