That was the most exciting end to the Women's season I have ever seen! And the Men's was just as exciting as the end to the 2019 season, had us on the edge of our seats over here! MTB DH really is the best sport in the world.

I fell insanely bad for Myriam. She was so much faster than anyone else. If you've ever raced and blown a run on flat ground, you know it's utterly one of the worst feelings you can have because there is NO answer how it happened.

This situation still burns me up...and i'm old, been around DH racing since the dawn of time, NORBA before USAC ownership was a hillbilly organization, but, they cared about MTB racing and cared about DH (and slalom) but they were short staffed and underfunded and I think back to all the hate we used to throw NORBA (myself included) and certainly feel bad about it when you compare todays era or DH governing body issues. From what I (and the Rooted MTB guys like Austin HK who thinks Aaron Gwin is a cool and wildly fast dude) saw on course throughout practice, Gwin was very very fast and so was Dakota. The track required a lot of precision and because it was relatively flat, punished mistakes harshly. I have full belief that the bike isn’t holding Aaron back and his non-medal result is more due to the level of racing in the USA right now making mistakes in runs no longer allowed.
