Bushing require tight tolerances and proper maintenance. The cycling industry is crappy at tight tolerances. Most cyclist are crappy at maintenance. It's a win win resulting in the horrible reputation that bushings have. Like press fit bearings, they are the correct engineering solution. But that would require the bike industry to stop being crappy.

I've got them on my Scott Ransom - I like them, I like the look, seller threw them in for free when I bought the frame. I like the spatial void that comes without having a stem. Would I buy them again on their own? probably not. Would I buy a bike that came with them? sure.

Yes, the little bike is a major improvement in fun on appropriate trails. Around where I live, enduro bike is still more appropriate and fun on any black diamond trails (most have stunts and gnar) or for racing proper enduros, but there are also mellower X/C trail centres which are a blast on a 120 bike. I find the 120 bike is limited by tires (which is fine... point of the bike is to roll super duper fast on sketchier X/C tires), fork (Fox 34 Stepcast GRIP, very mediocre. Should stick a Pike on it), and the 2 pot Shimano...

Not sure if xc/down country or whatever it’s called is a forbidden subject on here but thought I’d ask the question as it is gravity related. I’ve ridden bikes for 30 years give or take, for a good 20 years it was solely downhill racing and riding, then I discovered trail bikes and pedalling uphill so for the last decade I have pretty much been doing the enduro thing, currently running a nomad v6 as the only bike I have and love the thing for the gnarlier stuff but lately I have been noticing lots more trails which I don’t...

Its ironic that both PFP and Tom Pidcock won their respective races in the recent 2024 Olympics using Shimano XTR. Even more ironic that Pinarello only sell the Dogma with SRAM electronic. Marketing? Maybe they should read this poll.

Here‘s something to consider..during the Womens XCO Olympic race..Sina Frei finished P21 because she lost her AXS Battery..after winning bronze in Tokyo and getting the spot from Jolanda Neff..I dont care how good Transmission is - losing a battery must sting, especially at a race like the Olympics!!

I think electronic shifting works well, but I don’t want any technology on my bicycle that ruins a ride if the battery runs out. My only exception for this is lights for night riding for obvious reasons. If my GPS, phone, or even a power meter dies, it’s unfortunate but I can finish my planned ride having just as much fun as if the components were at full charge. If an electronic derailleur, dropper post, or suspension dies, the enjoyment of that ride is significantly reduced. And that’s not even mentioning driving to the trailhead and realizing that you have...
