Add to that list the new Commencal Supreme DH, Devinci Wilson prototype and the Norco prototype as well. I'm also curious to know.

I too am a downduro kind of guy. I have made an old devinci wilson into a downduro. I call it Frankenvinci Wilsonstein. Dropper post, 11-36 cassette, 28t chainring. Made it into a 27.5f 26r mullet. I'm 5'5" so 26 inch wheels work well for me. No way to attach a bottle though

Yeah that's just it a flipped horst link. It's to lower the anti-rise values. Yeah, similar to the Devinci Wilson and Antidote Darkmatter but the rocker link on mine doesn't pivot around the BB

without the seatstay pivot the rear triangle will bind under suspension travel. Some 100mm travel bikes can get away with relying on the flex of material used but I don't think 210mm can.

Just a heads up to my fellow hobbyists. I received this message from hmcleay [i]Hi Lan, Congratulations on your latest frame build. That's super impressive; the welds look AMAZING! I just wanted to touch base with you to let you know that having the idler pulley mounted on that separate link like that would technically infringe on some patents that I have. You've probably come across my 'i-track suspension' technology already (especially since it shows my logo in the Linkage software too). Don't worry, I'm not going to get 'legal' on you. I'm totally fine with people experimenting with it...

Cool, some of us want that downhill bike experience but don't always have uplift where we ride. Bike brands should realize this.

I'd rather they not, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it. I'm all for seeing bikes get developed further, there's nothing particularly unique to the way I located the pivots. Maybe for the look of the bike you can say it's uniquely mine but then again I did get inspiration from other bikes like the Norco Aurum HSP and the Rocky mountain slayer.

11/12/2020 3:48am Just a one off. It's one thing to design bikes as a hobby and another to actually make a business out of it. Frame's done by the way. Will be testing it out soon and make a bike check.

10/22/2020 3:46am You have to design everything yourself. You have to make sure of the clearances, the necessary thickness of the tubing and cnced parts as the company in China won't do any of that for you. As for the price, it's slightly more expensive than a high end carbon frame before you even factor in taxes.

10/22/2020 2:52am In China. Although I wouldn't exactly recommend it. Plenty of headaches, delays and changing the agreed upon price. Maybe it's better to procure the frame building tools and make it yourself out of steel lol. I just tried it out to see if I could design a usable bike that rode well. First one was good so when covid 19...

10/22/2020 2:39am If you look at my bike check you'll see that I use a 215mm travel dh Enduro bike. It actually works brilliantly. I also have this incoming. The suspension layout is similar to that prototype Norco dh bike. This is the future.

I'm disappointed that you hold this viewpoint Jeff. If it does nothing then why are you affected by it? It does something for me. While I'm not black, I've been at the receiving end of racist remarks. A friend hated the Chinese and said they all should be bombed and killed. Even if I wasn't part Chinese I couldn't let a remark like that go. In the end though, no one else from my group of friends stood up for me so I left. When Commencal or any other bike brand "virtue signals" like this, it gives me hope that...

Every bike check should be as detailed as this. Great work man. I have one question, the pictures show a 325lb spring and I read somewhere that you are 75kg so are you getting 60mm sag from that setup?

I remember Lee also advocating for short reach bikes. The reach and RAD number of your bike seems way off what he would recommend for your height.
