Hi, I'm 186cm tall. The bike has a long reach, but low stack, so it doesn't feel "that" long. Used to ride a Large Spe Enduro 27.5, very fun and responsive, but lack of stability at high speed (I'm between L and XL...). Now it's way better with my EVO S3, more stable, but very still good in turns (big surprise, even with the long wheelbase, slack headangle etc). Suspension also has a "pop" feeling which is very fun on the downhills
It comes with a 45mm stem, if too long, you can still go for a 35mm (but...

Can I ask you how tall you are? Im struggling to find the right size for me (175cm tall). Before I rode 27.5" Banshee Rune with long wheelbase due to 170mm fork (1220mm) and I loved it, but dont want to end up with too long reach.

ok, so i'm watching rampage webcast now. brendog just went. he was the 2nd rider to drop in today and the first one to make it down without crashing (only godziek went before...gnarly). brendan had a flawless, epic run off the rock, hit the canyon gap, did a flip. the announcers mention the judge have a tough problem that they have to "leave room" for scoring. brendan gets a 67.66. i had this article about "how to win rampage or at least get better than 9th" written last week. i never published b/c it felt too whiny and dumb. i...

Maybe I ride differently but even when I do downhill I still shift my weight... and I would say I do it pretty often. Its not only about cornering. Shifting body weight does not mean i have to turn my cranks or vice versa. But definitely not having my legs locked around same position allows me to shift my body weight better. I think that is a big difference to moto, where the power comes from a different source and also how you handle whole thing, where your legs are, where you sit. I think being able to have one...

What is the advantage? Being able to move with cranks I can shift my body weight where I need. Also does not feel like having my feet just on BB keeps me well balanced on bike as normally I would have one leg way far in front and one behind. And I kinda feel being able to move my pedals around the axle, I can actually stick more to bike better (better grip between shoe / pedal). Raaw Madonna has some pretty cool "swat" on their alloy frame but as said it is clearly challenging and it would change the frame design / tube design a lot to achieve something similar that they can do with carbon.
