Awesome review! One of the main points of feedback we have received is in regards to the need for a 12mm wrench for adjustments which as you have mentioned can be not very convenient for trail side tuning. To address this we have made a small 3D printed tool that has both a 12mm socket and the 4mm hex that works pretty well. If you need one hit us up. We also are now including with new shocks as well or if you send it in for service mention you want one and we will throw it in.

As an old school downhiller, I sold my last DH bike 15 years ago and have been riding Freeride, Super Enduro whatever 170mm bikes since, and racing DH on them. Why?? Dropper post! Versatility! I have such a hard time owning such an expensive single use bike. It makes me crazy to stare at the DH bike that I can't...

That was amazing! I feel the long bikes didn’t work back then because the small wheels would “push” too much. Not enough weight on the front wheel with its small contact patch. Interesting watching the riders hitting their knees on their grips a few times. Seems like the bikes were setup softer too, trying to get grip, the modern bikes are so much more hooked up they can be set up firmer. I like modern bikes set up soft for max control though!! Call me old school!

I've noticed a few quick shots on social media the past few weeks of what looked to be a new Maxxis spike tire, but couldn't tell for sure. Here's a better view.

Yeah I'm kinda same. My bike started with a Fox X2 and it was way harsh. I changed to EXT Storia and it's easily the plushest shock of the last 20 years - by miles

Inverted and right side up forks will have the same behavior as they move through their stroke regarding the offset.

I'd like to chime in with my experience. I got one on loan to demo on my own bike since I'm local to them in Utah. No doubt it takes a few rides to get used to the fork! I had to adjust to riding more forward on the bike which is a part of what makes the fork work well. It wasn't until a very long day of muddy wet and cold rock riding that I had the breakthrough moment that I hadn't dabbed in hours of riding while buddies were slipping around. After I removed the fork and...

That's interesting. The thing is though, the front wheel turns on an arc as the bars turn and the rear doesn't follow the same path. Also the rear steps out and tends to drift more than the front. Perhaps the fact that the rear wheel is spinning faster and cuts a tighter line would be noticeable on pavement but I...
I'm loving my firebird 29 in the high setting with a 27.5 rear wheel, it's just a tad lower and slacker. I certainly like the rear clearance and the ability to pump manual over holes on rough tracks and off ledges. A bit less traction though and a little rougher. The bike has more grip on scetchy off camber with...

Sounds about right, 26" forks are around 37 i believe and I've heard a lot of good feedback about that offset for 27.5. Thanks for the update.

Do you know the offset of your 27.5 Boxxer? Do you know where it is now? Did you try to alter the head angle and then try different offsets? I'm a little surprised you didn't try more setups since there are so many choices, maybe your setup could get even better!

I'm in love. My fork is a low single pivot Kona, this is a DW Link Pivot. Wheel path is no comparison. Progressive damping, progressive spring curve, no lower leg service, bottoming control and so much more. Steering we've never experienced. No more need to over fork the bike.
