Being the 11th Junior Woman has got to be rough. That will suck for whoever it is.

This morning Jackson, Amaury, Loic, Lachie, Bernie, and Benoit, and all the other fast guys are all doing the gap that Breeden pioneered. Richie cased it and went OTB. He’s been talking to medical for the past 5 mins. Also unrelated, trek is running blacked out maxxis, and Richie is running transmission.

That would have been brutal if Antoine Pierron got bumped down one more spot and missed qualifying by .001

lawlor said of dak's quali run "dak smashed chainring in first rock section. cranks locked, couldn't pedal or rotate cranks the entire run" EDIT - his cranks weren't locked but he had no chain apparently.

A pissed off Vali seems to be a fast Vali. At least compared to the average rider who probly shouldn't ride pissed off.

This is the one. 10 speed linkglide for the win. Dirt cheap & super durable. Plus the deore LG mech works with the 11/48 cassette, despite shimano saying 43t max, so a nice short cage, dont even need to use the clutch. The chain is the same as a normal 11 speed, nothing special.Cheap though & change at .5 wear. Personally I dont understand the need for expensive 12 speed electric foolishness on an emtb.

Thanks for the props fellas! Reece Wilson just told us that this track is more difficult than any track all year, even Les Gets in the mud because it’s so unpredictable. Rocks coming out all the time, and shadows look like rocks and rocks look like shadows. But the dirt is apparently absolutely mint.

I hope you’re looking at the riders and track more than your phone, but honestly this is the type of on-site updating I pray for every round. Good work, and thanks!

You can tell when Asa, Tyler, or Oli are coming because every single line spotter pulls out their phone. During this B practice, Asa has been by 4 times and was on a different line every time.

42 year old here. I think the cut away jokes are fun. I enjoy his videos and feel like it's a good niche for all the stuff out there.

I think it’s fine and kind of fun. Not everything needs to be serious. There is plenty of adult sport fan content out there. It’s good there is something for the kids that’s still pretty palatable to me. No worse than a first intermission hockey segment from coatesy or coach.

I know a lot of people like to cr*p all over UCI, but I think changing to the Q1/Q2 thing and doing away with the Protected status have contributed to making this an incredibly exciting season. Now, if they (by they, I mean the broadcasters) would just consider streaming the Elite qualifying rounds and Youtubing the Junior finals next season .... I'm really amped for this week's race and the last 2 races.

My name is Luis Arraiz, I am a frame design engineer and specialize in bicycle vehicle dynamics, kinematics and geometry design. I was the founder of K9 Industries Ltd in 2005 in the UK. I worked at CSG (now Pon) from 2015-2023 where I was responsible for the geometry, kinematics and packaging for all the full suspension bikes both analogue and e-bikes for both Cannondale and GT bikes and also several GT hardtails. I introduced the concept of size specific geometry and kinematics for Cannondale dubbed “Proportional Response”. I am now back to the UK, where I am a senior...

For my last couple of ebikes I immediately changed the drivetrain to Shimano 10 speed. We also have steep climbs, but I find that with Emtb I don't need quite as much range, current cassette is 48-11 and never felt like I'd need more gears. My latest drivetrain is Shimano Linkglide, they claim 3x durability and none of the parts...
