Jukulae Added a reply to 2026 South Korea world cup

I used to live in S. Korea but that was 25 years ago. I lived primarily in Chola Do (Kwang Ju, Soon Cheon, Nam Won). Back then mountain biking was not a thing in Korea. I would love to go back and see the world cup but for sure would have to ride. I am so excited Korea will have...

In the last few years the e-bike category of mountain biking has continued to fill out and evolve, offering an impressive variety of specifically designed machines for almost every niche rider preference. With most models maintaining the heavy-yet-stable, motor-up-everything feel we’ve come to expect from pedal-assisted bikes, anyone who’s spent time aboard an e-bike has daydreamed of applying just the benefits of some motor assist to their mountain bike. A perceived unachievable blend of broader climbing potential matched with the agile, bomb hole smashing descending elements of a modern 160-170mm bike that blurs lines between assist and human-powered machine. Well...

Im running the Rimpacts. I like the price, easy install, and weight. I am bummed that I cant run lower PSI as there really isnt good sidewall support. Also cant tell if they are dampen the trail chatter. Not sure if I will keep running them when I change my tires next. We shall see how they handle Snowshoe and other DH trails over the next few months.

Perfect. Now everyone who just finished building their AXS wireless dream build gets to drop another 1k because there's no WAY they can live without these to tie it all together.

I've been riding mountain bikes a long time. I had an original Marzocchi z1 when most other forks were using elastomers in the mid 90's. I've had at least 20 high end bikes between then and now, from DJ to trail to enduro to DH. On those bikes I've easily had 30 or more different forks and have had them in many configurations, always looking for that perfect feel. It's been an expensive and futile effort for the most part. Some forks have been better than others, and some have excelled in some aspects while sacrificing in other ways. Most...

at 0:29 Gwin and then at 1:27 Dungey ride the same section of trail. Interesting thought (for the e haters). If Moto and E bike was the same then shouldn't Dungey be faster than Gwin on that section of trail. I know if they were on Motos Dungey would have smoked Gwin down that section of trail. Gwin is good on moto, and great on bikes. Dungey is good on bikes, and great on moto.

Matt Dogg- Yes I think the Stumpy EVO is too DH oriented for a trail bike. Because its so long, low and slack and heavy it does not climb well and the bike needs steep and fast trails to come alive. I don't really get what category this bike is trying to fit into. If I am going to ride steep, fast and chunkier trails I am going to ride a bike with more travel than the Stumpy Evo. The trails that I see this bike excelling on are smoother but very fast bike park trails where you want a...

With 170mm of travel on tap and the ability to morph itself at the push of a lever, Scott's new Ransom is the best all-mountain/enduro bike the company has created. It's truly a blast to ride and handles so many scenarios well. Listen in as Vital MTB's Product Editor, Brandon Turman, rallies down Purgatory Resort outside of Durango, Colorado, telling you everything he thinks about the orange machine. Be sure to check out Vital's First Look article for a complete tech breakdown. I recently test road the S2 and S3. I’m 6’ and can say I could get along with either size. The S3 is big but I managed just fine. Loads of stability. I ride a 2018 Scott genius and compared to that the stumpy evo doesn’t climb near as well. Downhill the evo is awesome but honesty it’s not a good trail bike overall. I would get the ransom over the stumpy evo hands down. And definitely prefer the genius to the stumpy evo.

According to Scott you can fit a shock with a piggy back and even a coil shock will fit as well. You would be negating the main selling point of this bike by doing so. Although putting a coil on could be rad!

Iceman, great review! I am looking for full face protection on my everyday trails. How much am I sacrificing with the TLD Stage interms of comfort when climbing compared to an openface half lid? I am on the fence and paying $300 is a large investment with out being able to demo the Stage. Thanks for your exta input!
