@RuRoost - Yes you did (hard to miss the Flouro Abomination) and yep, that's on Handcuffs from our Sunday ride. Noah still has the Large if you are Large... he's keeping it for a week. The dog kept up better out at Koko, not as many long descents!

do you really think the UCI keeps Mtb down?! that's silly. Mtb is as up or down as people want it to be. Don't forget the lesson you were supposed to learn from the last episode of "Lost". IT'S NOT ABOUT THE DETAILS OF THE STORY, IT'S ABOUT THE PEOPLE AND THEIR CONNECTION TO EACH OTHER. It's the people that make Mtb what it is, not the UCI and surrounding drama.
It's inevitable that the UCI sanctions Enduro, and I think in the long run it will benefit the elite level of racing, as well as bring in new money...

Otis - depends on the corner. 29 is faster in many cornering situations especially flat turns with bad traction. Where it suffers is linking tight turns or burms where you woud normally generate exit speed on a smaller wheel - where the speed with which you can flick the bigger wheels side to side is hampered. Testing a bike isn't the same as learning to ride it. A lot of our handling skills are so ingrained that it can take weeks to figure out the different style needed to push a bigger wheel to the max. @Cap- It is. Since the concentric pivot idea was first patented over 100 years ago, the SP and Active Braking patents are focused on the complete package of pivot locations and suspension characteristics. The Orbea design has been in use since around 2011 on their trail bikes. It's actually quite a bit cleaner and simpler than the other designs.

I'm not disputing with you, but I think I understand their justification for building it: it diversifies the park, attracts a new segment of riders, and gives the park some flagship features to showcase in promotional material. Sure very few riders will hit Hot Wheels -- your estimation of 30% is very generous, IMO -- but how many people hit the big lines in the Bone Yard, yet everyone has heard of it, even if they have never been to Whistler? The hugeness draws people in, even if they will never hit any of the features in their lifetime. So...
