All comments below are completely spot-on, but to be fair, Pinarello is Italian, and they are a road bike company that clearly knows almost nothing about MTB. There is a cultural disconnect - This kind of hyperbole is fairly common in their cycling market/industry. They're just trying to sound exciting and radical but of course to us this just sounds like a load of shit. Which it is. But still, they probably don't mean to sound as crass as they do. What I think is so totally awesome is that they got a native English speaking "Guy With That Voice"...

It's a fun rig. Definitely a few options in this category but the details like the removable hanger and stealth routing (with covers if you don't use it) and removable cable guides are pretty sweet. I am making a pile of parts for one if I can afford the frame later this summer. =)

Dudes, I gotta say My XX1 group is amazing. It is not perfect, but after 6 month and 10 races it is a game changer and i can't imagine going back to a front derailleur. The range (for me) is perfect. The XX1 cassette is about the same weight as XTR 10 sp. This pic looks to be an XX1 cassette. Why wait to release 2 groups a year later than release them as they design them? The X9 cranks are hollow, and have the same splined spider mount as XO/XX1. It looks like they chose a 104mm BCD, that...

Since they grabbed the XO crank arms to make XX1, I bet this crank is the X9 and will be the standard XO crank arm moving forward. This keeps XX (and XX1) as premier groups and sets up XO to be better-defined as the next group down.

True, these are great glasses. Besides, euro roadie eyewear is super Enduro right now for good reason - It weighs nothing and does the job better than other options.

Honestly my previous experiences with Mavic 29er wheels makes me glad I don't need to try them again, because these look bitchin. Always had a soft spot for the DeeMax Yellow.

I think I read on Pinkbike that you CAN swap it out for the 14 Talas spring. Might be incorrect. Although when you're looking at changing the internals on BOTH sides, it's probably better to buy a new fork. FWIW your talas is way way way better than the old forks.

I don't understand why everyone is so bent about this race and write-up. It's wadded-panties day on Vital. I feel like the UCI is going to have to issue a mandate about how Enduro works otherwise it won't be safe to discuss.

Definitely go with the 34 if you want it to be a more trail-oriented build. The Revelation is lighter but doesn't feel quite as capable as the larger Fox. I am going to try a 34 shortened to 130mm to keep the BB low but still take advantage of the stiffer chassis. If I decide I want the additional travel it's an easy conversion.

I don't think it's necessary to copy what other folks are doing. Enduro racing will thrive if there is variety, I think the quickest way to kill it is to make all races follow a formula. You don't have to enter races that don't suit you, but that also limits your growth as a racer. I think everyone was pretty stoked on the fun, fast, demanding course.
