They're not terrible though - I think the PB review was kinda looking at it wrong. It's not an efficient xc bike - it's a very capable short travel trail bike. I've got one running a Super Deluxe Air and my Ohlins RXF36 air forks at 140 (which taking into account the A2C of the RXF36s is more like a...

My experience has been that if you have fox service your parts, you get it back with orange pressure caps, hsc adjuster dials and air spring footnuts fwiw. related: not worth being a dick about... there are plenty of wheelsize and ebike threads for that.

Jeez man - someone having a bad day? Try not to take life so seriously - I merely offered support to an alternative theory, someone else put forward - but hey - its just an alternative view.. If it really bothers you I can ask one of my best friends who is a professional photographer to get his views.. PS...

Er.. yep.. If you look at the shadow from the top of the stanchions it's not from 12'oclock. Looks more like it's coming across from above and behind the photographer. I don't think you'd see as much shadow as you can see on the footnote given the orientation of the bike.

Could be just mega dust - the back of the nut looks black and there is plenty of dust on the sidewall and around the footnut - probably just freshly serviced.

@mcfadden999 and anyone else responding to him, guess what? there's an entire forum where you can start a new topic dedicated to one specific thing and you can develop that topic into the minutia it deserves. no more cascade review crap in this thread. hooray for babysitting grown adults in 2024!

More like I finally have the option of a downhill bike so I want to see what all the hype is about. I am plenty happy with Enduro and from what I've heard internally, contrary to rumours, Enduro isn't going anywhere. But just wait till you see my latest bike, new year new me.

Drops to flat are the nicest to visualize because there are so few unknowns. The impact the drop imparts is more of an energy input than a force. m*g*h is the energy that your suspension must absorb in a simplistic sense. Gets really complicated if you try and include your arms and legs plus you can selectively be very rigid or loose. The absorbed energy is the sum of energy stored in the spring and work done by the damper. Again you have some uncertainty because you can tune damping however you want and it’s capable of producing massive forces...

This is not a tech rumor so I’m not going to talk about this again. What I will say is we haven’t seen a single case of frame damage due to regular use. Frames are pretty overbuilt. Your wheels are more likely to blow up first. Ask me how I know. Off the top of my head, I can only remember two instances where serious frame damage occurred. One was improper installation and one was incompatible shock. We actually paid for the crash replacement frame for the incompatible shock case because there was a typo on our website that was...
