4/3/2026 1:26pm Yes Wranglers are stretchy. Got mine at Walmart and Tractor Supply.

4/3/2026 10:13am Another vote for Wrangler ATG. Costco had them recently for $20 but I’ve gotten them for $18 from Target or Walmart in the past. I’m fortunate enough I could easily afford the $150+ pants but why, just why when they’re virtually identical fabric and cut. The cuff on recent models is a little larger so I wrap a Velcro strap around right pant cuff to ensure it doesn’t get caught in the chain. I’m always shocked at the money people throw at MTB and moto specific clown wear

4/3/2026 10:13am Wrangler ATG train here too. I do wish the cuffs were a little bigger, or zippered for knee pads. I’ve had mine for a few years now. Solid for $25.

4/3/2026 10:11am Wrangler stretch "tech" pants have been pretty good - work in them and don't need to change pants for the ride after

4/3/2026 10:10am I'm wearing some weird Wrangler All Terrain Gear pants that I saw on sale. Biggest selling points: were cheap, slim cuffs at the ankle to keep out of chain but had enough room for knee pads, seemed to be durable material, had built-in belt so I could keep pants on during my ride. Previously all of my shorts/pants would fit more loosely at the end of a ride (probably not helped by the hip pack I was wearing at the time). This one having a built-in-belt meant I could tighten that shit if it started to happen. I've crashed a...

3/22/2026 7:32am Both of the stems you listed are cold forged, meaning they are forged at room temperature. As far as forging goes, this way is slightly more optimum for resulting grain structure/strength then flow formed or cast. Since the manufacturing method is the same for both of these stems, you're paying for the surface finishing of bead blasting and painted vs anodized. What you're paying for is the surface finishing to prep for anodizing and the anodized finishing. If you would add their top of the line Riza stem to the question/equation, then what you're paying for there is CNC machining...

2/14/2026 3:40pm Longer reaches work best with longer chainstays, Makes the bike more balanced and thus easier to turn. My Nicolai G1 has a 1349mm wheelbase with 510mm reach and 474mm chainstays with a mullet setup. It turns and corners great. I think even longer chainstays would make it even better. Currently run it with a 20mm stem and 60mm risers. I'm "only" 180cm or 5'11".

2/13/2026 9:19am What is the general consensus of where to have your grips in relation to the steering axis - for an "all-mountain" rig? Personally I feel slightly behind to be balanced and safer for avoiding otb's.

2/11/2026 7:48am One more vote for looking at the system, so where the grips are in relation to the steerer. The problem is that, aside from Bike Yoke ( @Sacki ) nobody publishes setback values of bars as far as I know. And bars have WILDLY different setbacks, even more so if the sweep angles are high. Bars aren't made to hit a certain point in space with a given setback. They are just bent back and up. A high sweep bar should be paired with a longer stem to offset this. QED, I ran a 70 mm stem with high sweep...

2/11/2026 5:33am Hard to do a real world test on this because bars aren't designed with setbacks - the sweep is pretty much determining where the grips will be. Running the same bar on 2 different length stems, rolled the same, will be much different. Run a different sweep bar (with a setback equal to the difference in stem length) on 2...

2/10/2026 10:13am I think the matching the fork offset koolaid as close as possible tastes the most neutral. ... And a nice high rise bar rolled back to flat. Perfect.

1/24/2026 8:28am This is the reference/starting point where bars are made/ where the sweep is measure from. So the Oneups are exactly and 8/5 here. The more you roll back, the less the upsweep, you can say backsweep won't really change. IMO anywhere between rolled back to level (no upsweep), and angled up aimed at you navel ( while off the saddle...
