I stayed at 170 travel up front even with the mullet. Still feels balanced to me, but I also switched to a coil shock and Cascade linkage at the same time. Keep in mind that the Reign at 160/160 has a relatively steep head angle by modern standards at 65*. There was also a Reign SX park bike with DVO suspension, and that bike came stock with a 180 fork. So honestly you might be better off at 170mm since it sounds like you ride pretty chunky downhill, and a slacker head angle will definitely help you there. https://www.vitalmtb.com/product/guide/Bikes,3/Giant/Reign-SX-1,23744

Great, what worried me was that the bike would be bad because it didn't come prepared to be a mullet, I'm 170mm up front, would I have to go down to 160mm so as not to change the geometry too much?

If so, I would look for a 29" fork. Having a reign, your opinion is very exact and precise about the change. The area where I usually go out is broken and also has jump descents, it is versatile, it has a little bit of everything, but mainly I would say that it is mostly rocks, roots, steps... is it...

They say that the geometry of the bicycle is changed, but that it works better that way, the question is that I didn't know if there were people who would use a 27.5 to mullet... if it doesn't penalize too much going up, I will most likely change it then. The only bad thing is if it penalizes? There is...

I currently have a 27.5" reign 1 2020, do you know if it would be okay if I changed the wheel to a 29"? The bike is going very well, but I hear a lot that the mullet is better going downhill, that it swallows more...

Hello to all in this ' strengthen' chat and forum. Todd Schumlick from PerformX Training here. Great to see some you are interested in off-bike training, specifically strength training for MTB. I just had a friend fire me a message about this forum chat....so I came over and created an account! Reading through this chat, it looks like many of you have some great advice. This is definitely a good time of year to add some strength training, so that your fitness isn't too "one dimensional" (only developed on-bike). With the PROPER strength training program, you will not only improve...

It looks good, I will look at it, the conclusion would be either to do a training with everything learned or hire an online service from a trainer, that is the truth....

Thank you very much, if that is the bad thing, it would be nice if once you paid you had access to it for life... on Monday I will start the training and see how everything goes, since now I already have information :D

I just looked at it, and the truth is that more focused on mtb I doubt I will find something else like this, if you buy a plan, once you pay for it, do you have it forever?

If you don't know where to start and don't want to get deep in the weeds, "Stronglifts 5x5" is a really good place to start. Google it. If you can really start stacking on the strength to do heavy squats, bench and rows, it can 100% save you on the bike when you accidentally send it too deep or hit a g-out unexpectedly hard.

When and if free weights become a thing, control is a must. The negative movement is actually much more important to strength than the positive; the act of a simple bicep curl for ex. brings the weight to the shoulder and back, it's the return motion which needs to be slowed and is the portion of the rep that builds. All weight exercises need to stick to this pattern of movement.

I usually stretch a lot every day, I work more mobility day by day, that's why I was now looking to incorporate the gym into the stretching I do at home

Yes, I will try to combine a good exercise routine, do you know of any application that can do everything in a more structured way? even if it is not with videos, with the names of the exercises, put days and notes

Yes, you are right about that, you have to create good foundations. There is a channel on YouTube that has good content (or so I think) it is called "Fit4Racing" let's see if it can find how to combine exercises well...
