Looks killer! All the details look dialed. Also, props on being the only ones to say "scrilla" since 2005.

Fahzure Added a comment about photo Kris Krispy Baughman Scouting Lines for the Freeride Contest

This is from the first freeride contest in 2000 at the Moab Rim put on by Ron Lindley and with help from Nate McKay. The Froriders were in town and it was time to see where the hardest of freeride core was. Kris is looking at the last big move on the course, a double drop into a small canyon, one of several points where there were red (harder/more points) and blue lines. Three riders had a strong showing on the last drop, Tippie sent it, snapped his ISIS spindle and was nearly decapitated by an overhanging rock, Lance bounced...

Love it! This was before my time, but the overall vibe was very much alive when I moved to this area in 2006. The Moab OGs would pedal bikes like Foes DHS (?), Balfa 2-step, and Ellsworth Dare all over the damn place. No huck was too flat to send. The armor of choice was Carhartt.

This post is currently the best thing on the internet. A lift lap during lunch break at Poison Spider was something I have never taken for granted.

Kathy from Double Down Bike Shop in Moab. I've seen her go for moves that everyone else in the group passes on.

i'd rather it come from an engineer and need some smoothing out from marketing, than it come from marketing and need some engineering. full disclosure: I am an engineer.

The whole package has a very "Engineer" look to it and could definitely use some smoothing out from the marketing types, but it's great original work from an obviously creative guy. Separating the component parts of the rear derailleur is really smart. I loved when he dumped out the pile of not-quite-right 3D printed plastic components. One thing that could probably use more attention is the top section of chain- looked like it was slapping around like Elaine Benes dancing.

Now we’re onto something!! Id have a hard time buying a high pivot with all the complexity and still have a hang-down derailleur. This is next level!

That's only cuz we haven't made it around to his super whack saddle and Hans Dampf rear tire, yet.

Re: Primoz and the notion that one kind of shock or another adds (lateral) stiffness to the frame. Unless you are riding an older ('92-'95) AMP, Titus, Mongoose or other McPhearson strut frame, the shock is not a significant element in the stiffness equation. What sphreicals do, is allow the shock to float through its compression cycle because the beginning...
