As someone who has been fortunate enough to ride and own multiple DH bike over the last 15 years, I hate to see them fade into the background. Although it makes sense, as most people may only own one or two bikes and to have one that is relatively dedicated to summer chair lift season may be tough to justify. I've owned some pretty sweet current model 170mm enduro bikes but nothing beats a triple clamp fork with 200mm of travel at both ends when the "true" DH terrain is in front of you. Wanted to be under 15kg ahah. But that's the complete weight with pedals, fender, invisiframe, DH tires, inserts and a ton of sealant.

I’m also on my second Ransom a 2019 900 and a 2020 910 (I went back to a large). After a few thousand miles I haven’t had any issues with the pivots. Like any bike it’s a real good idea to go over the entire bike when it’s new, and then again after a good ride. I’ve found a lot of loose bolts after the first ride that never loosened again after being retightened! Hopefully you’re enjoying the Ransom. I dig mine so much I had to stick with it for another year!

Already won snowshoe. Would be great to see her beat the full field though. Think a new winner is unlikely this year. Höll and Harrison are my best bets
