The seatpost makes sense if you think about it. Raise it up for a better saddle height while cruising around down, lower it for jumping. I ran a dropper on a Jackal many years ago and it was nice to be able to raise the saddle for cruising. Same idea with the gears, shift when you need to for a better cadence with the saddle raised.

Pretty nice weight considering how much lighter you could go on the components while still maintaining durability.

So its a bit confusing. Its Ibis's 40th anniversary this year so the first batch of Exie's that went out were all numbered up to 40....BUT they did a total of 50 of these limited edition builds. We got number 41 off the production line out of the first 50, but again they only numbered them to 40 to commemorate their 40th anniversary

Front Rim: I don't know. Fairly sure it's got giant logos on there that might give you some sort of hint as to the make of the rim.

I'll let you know more once I have more rides on it, but so far I've been riding it with pretty neutral settings. Since it's a coil the first thing I want to do it figure out the right spring weight.

Not sure why someone downvoted me for speaking the truth. You can fit a coil on most of the low link Santa Cruz bikes.

We need more detail on this bike check! I don't get why people even submit their bikes if they're not gonna give us all the details about their components, especially with custom builds like this.
