I am 5'11" and I was on the M/L frame which has a 59cm top tube. I ran a 70mm stem and I could have gone shorter. Depending on your torso/arm length you would be either the M/L or the L.

Those Eminent frames are growing on me... still a little weird but maybe they ride well. I don't know if I'll ever trust that lower shock link though.

I agree. Shimano has faltered in many ways over the last decade, and it seems be only getting worse. I cannot believe they won't fix their brake issues - mainly inconsistent lever feel. When my 785 XTs were toast, I switched to hope because I could not tolerate their newer designs vague feel. It took some getting used to, but I love that the Hope's are consistent. I also have a sram xo drivetrain now. All brands have their issues, but shimano doesn't seem to care...its sad.

I always looked at Shimano as higher quality, but the lack up updates to their widely known brake issues is frustrating. My other gripes after short term use left me unimpressed. - inconsistent lever feel - useless bite point adjuster - high end rotors are centerlock only - hinged brake clamps that fatigue handlebars due to oval contact (safety pin release is a headache) - rattling brake pads that also contaminate far easier than other brands - seizing clutch - upper cassette spider creaking at rivets - micro spline still destroys freehub bodies (I couldn’t believe the poor tolerance) -...

I love my Tallboy 4. Came from a 2019 SJ Pro and I don't miss the extra travel at all. I run a full SRAM AXS kit and a full complement of ti bolts thanks to Better Bolts. 27 lbs with 29x2.6 tires and it's more than capable enough for anything I can throw at it.
