Interesting tidbit. I ran into the Norco boys doing some testing, the engineer that handles a lot of the data acquisition said that LSR doesn't show in the data and its rider preference. Apparently HSR tune is the most critical.

Yup, at this stage I feel like Fox adds HSC & HSR just to add a couple more lines to the spec sheet - the HSC effectively does nothing and while the HSR technically works, they are extremely sensitive to assembly tolerances, and IMO is not needed because a) LSR adjusters usually have a wide range anyway and b) rebound shim stacks are probably the single easiest valving option you can give to bike companies/service centres to cover rider weights outside of the stock tune. eg 1 tune could quite serviceably cover 150-280 psi or 300-550lb (as a general example)...

My thesis is the vast majority are going to be OE sales, where bike company chooses a specific tune for the model. Vast majority of customers will decide to buy based on "aspirational" features like HSC and LSC adjust, but won't actually use those adjustments or will use recommended settings. My guess is aftermarket and riders that will tune/adjust are...

I think it's just a byproduct of going to a monotube with a shimmed base valve, less adjustment range than a twin-tube. The base valve needs to be matched properly with the main piston tunes. New aftermarket 26/27 DHX2 comes with CL70 compression tune, which is middle of the road. Most of the factory OE tunes I have seen seem...

Ck out Amuary's setup, his mechanic just used some felt. I don't think foam would be a good application, probably get ripped off very fast. I use gloves, rubbing friction issues haven't been an issue for me.

WT version, coming from Counterpunch, about 10 days of park. Definitely give them a try if you think they will improve your arm/hand issues. Non-intrusive to riding Attachment mechanism looks to be way more gentle on bars than Counterpunch's Gives a locked in feel Good possibility that it offers crash protection similar to Counterpunch, haven't tested yet Does make bar...
Yeah it will be interesting to try but it would need to be pretty spectacular to replace slickoleum on my shop....In my experience the slickoleum/Sram butter already sticks around better than everything else I've used while also being super slippery and reasonably priced so I'm curious how much they think it can be improved on? @JVP yeah PM600 was introduced about 20 years ago now (replaced Judy butter I think!!) but I found it too sticky/tacky for suspension...lasted pretty well but definitely added more drag. I couldn't find a proper data sheet so don't know for sure but it felt...

Sram is using 920 as direct replacement for Sram Butter. I ran a quick check, it's supposed to have better surface tenacity. So over long cycles it should stay in place longer, which might be better for a lot of owners who seldom do fork rebuilds. Not sure why dynamic seal grease was around when sram butter seemed better.

I was told the 920 has better thermal stability and lifespan, but with slightly higher friction at ambient temp. From what I can tell, Maxima lubricant have been good so far. I have been running a the mix, but no way to really objectively measure the difference.

Current Conti gravity line has always needed more PSI, most of info out there stated that pretty clearly, its 110TPI casing in the DH. I have only run R in the back, so can't help there.

Uh, that's most bike buyers. The number of people that I've sold bikes to who don't care/know what the knobs do is... the majority. We do our best to educate, but I could see their eyes glaze over in the first 10 seconds. The number of customers who care about how suspension works is less than 5% in my experience.

Technically Trek Top Fuel would cover that with all the adjustability. 130mm, high progression setting is 21%, especially with HBO shocks, you could find a decent spring rate with reasonable sag. A bunch of smaller brands, Revel Rascal that just won the PB Field Test.
