briceps Added a reply to POLL: Do You Also Use Your MTB To Get Around?
11/13/2017 6:54pm I'm glad I'm not the only person who's thought about putting a dropper on a DJ. A friend told me KS is making a non-remote dropper with a pretty large drop for city bikes I thought might be cool for that purpose.

briceps Added a comment about bike check briceps's Transition Supa' Smuggler
10/31/2017 6:38am Absolutely! You probably already know this but a lot of the Transition guys were running old RC4s off the V2 Covert. I pleaded with about 5 people selling old Coverts to sell me the shock but no one would budge. I'd be curious to try that setup with the Boost Valve. I'm about 195 lb in riding gear and this is a 500 x 2.25 spring. Little on the stiff side but the bike feels better in all regards. I don't use the CS except long dirt roads for the most part and running a little less sag seems to...

8/31/2017 10:37am I absolutely love the coil. With the CS I think climbing is better (minus the added weight) and downhill it feels much more controlled. The DHX2 is a custom job from Fox for one of the TR employees though and it has a much larger bumper that normal. My fear was having enough bottom out resistance and with that it's better than my air shock was, can't comment on other brands. Ohlins also has a custom bumper for their shock and they have a tune for the Smuggler.

7/13/2017 6:48am Granby is the best! They were there on opening weekend. Kyle Straight was there with them! Conditions sucked though, peanut butter mud that didn't dry out until like 4 pm.

7/11/2017 12:27pm Saw the Meta AM at their demo day here in CO at Granby Ranch, complete with the brushed aluminum and coil. One of the best looking bikes I've ever seen up close. Also totally disagree with Max on the e-bike thing, especially here in CO. Our trail access is far too fragile to go messing with.

6/29/2017 1:47pm Rad stuff. Be curious to put a longer stem (like a 60 - gasp) on the non SBG bike and also note the findings. I think another way to look at all this is weight distribution. Ideally, we find ourselves in a neutral position weighting both wheels equally. This (weight distribution) was the genesis to my whole "short chainstays suck" argument. I never considered altering fork offset to also address this problem... Cool stuff.

6/29/2017 1:47pm I've already up forked my Smuggler and thrown on an angleset (should be sitting at 65.5 deg). I would love to try a shorter offset fork on it to see if it helped the flatter aspects of the trail. Any word on how much travel the Sentinel is going to have? I will definitely be replacing my current big bike with that beast.

4/5/2017 8:53am Good to see them move from the pull shock to something more standard. The rest? Well. It has me scratching my head a bit...

2/8/2017 11:50am Wow this is a good looking bike. I've been on the search for a black PBJ frame just like it to build up! Best colorway they've done by a long shot.
