Are you running the 7.875" x 2" shock? I'm curious whether this bike could be "long shocked" and use a 7.875" x 2.25" shock instead.

I had a hard time manualing the 6C but I am admittedly not great at manualing. I didn't find it to have as much pop as the Transitions I've ridden but I'm also accustomed to running a fair bit of spacers in my shocks. Jackson looks amazing and the Smuggler eats up that trail. POVs tend to make everything look relatively tame but I know that trail is far from it. Really need to get up there this summer.

A longer Travel Smuggler would be so rad. That would make more sense if he was on one. His speed at SV when I was there was pretty nuts.

I sit at about 6'1" and 190 lbs and always ride Larges. I didn't think I'd be a 29er fan until I was forced to rent a Stumpy Evo this fall in Moab after my 26" Covert went tumbling down I-70. Jeff I saw that you also ride a Patrol and Smuggler. Can you make any comparisons to the downhill capability of these 3 bikes? I have been torn between a Smuggler or a Patrol but the 5.5 seems like a good balance of the too.

Weight goes up a bit when running Super Gravity Casing tires/ Procore dual chamber tire systems. Could probably drop it bellow 30lb with tire change, but thats not how the bike was going to be ridding so we didn't skimp on the tires just for the photo/weigh in.
