here is a question, whenever I change a tire it looks like a rat has been eating my cushcore lol. Literally chunks missing. Is that where I've hit it so hard it's broken off? I reckon it's saved me thousands in rims.

In Australia we have a store called "connor" that's like a menswear brand, they have shorts exactly like dickies but 1/2 the price. I just ride in those now. Almost indestructible. Always cushcore pro in the back. I do all day E-mtb adventures from my house to middle of nowhere places exploring. If I get an un-repairable flat you can ride home at least. It's saved me quite a few times now. I run one in the hardtail too to get super low pressures for a bit of forgiveness.

15 years ago we had an athlete turn up with their fit numbers all out of whack, old bike gone back to sponsors etc etc, BUT: they had a sticker prominent on seat tube that was identical to one on my tool box. I managed to print an a3 image of the old bike and translate all the measurements with a pencil and ruler. It took quite a while, but ended up bang on. Saddle height, offset, reach, bar height, stack. All this by hand…

Current bike has 505 reach, 462 chainstay and 650 stack, In my opinion the CS is about 10mm too long for me. There is that much front end grip it can actually be too much weight transfer on super steep corners.
