Not being forced into SX or NX for low end YT is a game changer. And I love the bomber stuff as well. Kinda excited to see potential new Jeffsy and Izzo builds because.... I had some bones to pick with changes they made. Deore and Bomber stuff is a great idea. Now if only we could convince brands to consider XT stuff instead of AXS... (who am i kiddin)

Why am I sharing this, and why might another rider want to read this? I'm a (modestly) credentialed, (modestly) working scientist with no present affiliation to the any part of the bike industry. Teaching quantitative reasoning and technical communication skills is the lion's share of what I do for work. I'm not a 'sci-comm' professional trying to drive attention toward a podcast about bikes or a bike youtuber trying to grab attention by deploying keywords like data or science. I don't have a vested interest in either bike setup being faster than the other. So let this be my attempt...

If you'd asked me a year or more ago what my ideal travel bike was, I would have quickly answered a 170mm enduro type. Beginning of '23 I got a Nomad 6 and love(d) it. It pedals really well for how much travel it has, but has enough suspension that it can erase poor line choice and handle a few days per year at the bike park. But then this year I got a Heckler SL ebike (which is basically the new Bronson with a mid power motor), and damned if that thing isn't more poppy and playful than the...

Your sarcasm is not lost on us. We have no ideas of grandeur that this strap is somehow a big deal in the industry. We know it is not. It is simply a way for us to solve some of the pain points that exist with current straps on the market. If riders like our strap and buy it, then, in the future, we will be able to create other products that solve more complicated problems. The Mach 6 just isn't the bike I wanted. I don't really like the dead feel of most longer travel bikes and wanted a bombproof slalom type build that can also climb techy trails.

I honestly think that the point has come when Loic should go and race the Electronic Bike Racing category - on his own. If you can't beat your competitors without a device that's solely and exklusively available to you - what's the point in competing? If a manufacturer creates something that's open to use for multiple of their sponsored athletes to be proven on the racetrack - that's progressing the sport. Anything else is an unfair advantage - a.k.a. known as cheating. Just sayin, ....
