His famous run with the crash at Val Di Sole is still the fastest I've ever seen a rider going in comparison to the rest of the field, looked sped up at times, insane speed.

Where does that dirt kicker go @1:50 ? And awesome video man, the angles of the footage show how stupid those drops are man, half of that big beast is a big drop, got sweaty hands watching, good job.

Back in the 80's BMX we had similar style helmets like ECHO, JT, and Bell ProPlus models. I had and used them only for competition and when riding vert. I can see myself wearing one of these new models, but not for DH use. Half lids seem to rotate on the noggin too much in crashes, the 3/4 appears to eliminate some of that movement with more coverage on the head.

Can't say they look nice but they do look functional, my ankles miss the support the old 5-10 hightops used to give me, they do look incredibly dorky to me though, also they all seem to be mishaped.warped looking around the toe area ? Next year they will hopefully stitch the front of sole to the toe box too.
