Jesse Melamed is a name to remember amongst the elite enduro ranks of the Enduro World Series, especially after his first career win on home soil during Crankworx Whistler in 2017. The Rocky Mountain rider has grown up on Whistler trails his whole life, so it's no surprise that Melamed is one of the top 10 enduro mountain bikers in the world. With Rob Parkin on camera duty, here is Jesse's debut Sound of Speed. Headphones on and enjoy! Trail: Cop Killer Location: Pemberton, British Columbia, Canada.
Well folks, its been an amazing four years riding for Canyon Bicycles and I'm sad to say I will no longer be representing the brand moving forward. I've loved working with the amazing team and really enjoyed their awesome lineup of bikes.
Yeah, just the intro. I was all cozied up by the fire with the cat on my lap and a cup of coffee with homemade eggnog.

I did this once at a Walmart Tire Center at 7 am on the morning of a race. Their compressor was so powerful it tacoed my front wheel as the tire exploded off the rim, and my hand swelled up a ton from the impact. About a dozen people heard the sound and came from the store to see me covered in sealant. It was a great start to my race day.

Even though we are lazy and call it 27.5 the proper name is 650B, so I think 69er is better to say AND more accurate.

I'm guilty of running my Super8 in 26/24 guise. That thing could turn so sharp! And handled those stair gaps so well!

I think world cup dh sells so many bikes even if it's not a dh bike. A lot of people will see there favourite rider on that brand and then buy that brand's trail bike. So dh racing definitely still sells a tone of bikes.

I wouldn’t say nobody buys DH , Me , my wife and two good friends of mine just bought DH bikes. DH is alive and well. It just depends if you live in a place that is worth owning a DH rig. Go to any bike park and you’ll see a plethora of DH rigs. Also World Cup DH is the highest level of our sport and is an amazing feat of the limits of bike riding !

Training season is in full swing and my teammate Loic Bruni came from Europe to train in some muddy downhill conditions here on Vancouver Island. You might remember him from winning the World Champs again this year. Whatever. Can he handle a muddy Mount Prevost? We'll see.

There was only one box ever that had tire plugs...and this box wasn't it. Been a full year since the frame guard, but I bet if you reached out to the service email, they could help a brother out.

And Klein to Klein. The Commencal's high pivot wasn't high enough; he's riding a Mantra for 2020.

I rode a couple of downhill bikes with a 27.5 front and 26 rear. They had a modified seat-stay to accommodate the smaller rear wheel/preserve geometry. When ridden back to back (same model and build of bike) with a 27.5/27.5 version, the smaller rear wheel felt a bit snappier in the rear and was more "fun." In the end, it...
