4/19/2024 4:05pm I've been a bit of a Transition fan for a while.. One thing thing that seems to have served them well is sticking to what they know or like.. I remember Kona coming out with entry level bikes and hybrids a while back and the value compared to Giant or Specialized just wasn't there.. Transition seems to be following more of the Santa Cruz game plan..

4/5/2024 4:15pm Czech made Race Bike Dragster Gearbox DH bike with Brembo brakes. I do believe circa 2006. All in house, gear box was similar to what Honda was running but patented. Raced by Petr Heinik, ex European DH champ and part owner. Never produced but they had similarly looking DH bikes (i owned two) that resembled the Ducati frame design. Always fan of the brand, but too bad they died due to simply not being able to market themselves and evolve with the industry.

4/5/2024 3:59pm This could be awesome, I wonder if it’ll have the adjustability of their other bikes, and I wonder if the rear travel will change? 140 rear travel although a small change would make it an even more capable all rounder.

3/27/2024 7:27pm Stem length also affects much more than just reach. Can have a massive change on steering feel depending on fork offset

2/8/2024 6:51pm Every bike is different and people have different experiences on them. "Playful" is different to everyone. I highly recommend demo'ing some bikes out there. I've read reviews and demo'd and had completely different experiences than the reviewer. Get a bike that is the most fun for what you want to get out of it. Races are such a small part of the overall ride time. I think a 29er vs MX would be negligible in a race personally. Most pros who do videos and test find its 1% difference from what I've seen. One thing that I think gets overlooked...

1/28/2024 3:43pm I'm going on a limb and going to say that you haven't actually looked at the linkage chart fro the dreadnought/druid have you? Yes, it's overall 40% progressive but it comes so late in the travel. It's almost like a built in HBO. If you were to actually read my review you'd see that I'd actually run this link with a shock tune (HSR adjustment and HBO removal). CC sold a product that does what it says on the tin. That's not opportunistic. It's not up to them to make links that work for everyone, and in fact that runs...

1/5/2024 2:51pm It doesn't seem like there's anything "faulty" with the links though, just that you don't need the extra progressivity for your riding. Cascade are pretty clear in the advertising/tech info that the links increase progression, so if you've tried the link and found out you don't need the extra progression it's unfortunate for you but no fault of theirs.
