basalt Added a comment about feature New Wireless MTB Shifting - SRAM Transmission TESTED
3/21/2023 9:44am Have you clipped a hard thing on purpose with it in a real life scenario? I've always wanted to build a little bash guard for a derailleur but thought it would be too hard, any 3d printers out there wanna try?

It was the lower half of Upper Supreme (we started at the drop off of Moe's Road) to Fo Sho to Middle Supreme, then through a new section of trail they cut and shaped to shoot us out onto World Cup road, where we jumped in after the sketchy corner. It was the best national race course in a long, long time and hopefully, USAC decides to suck less going forward and enable athletes and media partners to grow US DH.

NMK183 Liked a product review OneUp Bash Guide: Long Term Review
6/15/2017 6:18pm
This review comes after a full year of using the OneUp Components Bash Guide for trail riding, enduro racing, bike park laps, and shuttle runs. I have around 115 days of riding on this little piece of aluminum and plastic, and have to say that the results have been beyond expectations. Set up: The Bash Guide comes with two different top guides, a black one and a bright OneUp green one. Not having any green on my bike, I immediately put the green one back in the box, saving it in case anything ever happens to the black one. It...

If it's all about 'how fast they go' let's bring back skinsuits. Easily worth 2s on a track like Fort William...more if it's windy.

I'm with Loic. Make the max wheel size 27.5 for UCI DH racing and stop making the tracks straight smooth jump lines. I'm pulling for Gwin, Loic and anyone else on a 27.5 this weekend.

basalt Added a comment about feature Loic Bruni's Specialized Demo
4/27/2017 1:01pm I like his viewpoint, faster isn't always better. I like watching the technical tracks. When watching faster less technical courses feel like I am watching someone ride a sx track solo, so boring.

ButtersNZ Liked a product review Firebird XT/XTR

Iown a Firebird XT/XTR version. I came from a 2013 Corratec Opiate FX (think 67deg HA, 26" "all-rounder" AM bike). Climbing - At 6'2" I was right between sizing for an XL and L. I opted to go for an XL and put on a 33mm stem. The long front (65 deg HA and long reach) on the bike helps keep weight down on the front wheel so I'm clearing steep sections with ease that the old bike was popping the front wheel up and wandering around on. The grip from the rear is amazing and despite these climbs...

bturman Liked a product review Review - 2017 Pivot Firebird Carbon from Vital MTB Test Sessions
4/26/2017 2:40pm
With a complete overhaul for 2017, the Pivot Firebird gets some key geometry updates inspired by its downhill counter part, the Phoenix, complete with a brand new dw-link suspension layout. Featuring 170mm of front and rear wheel travel, the Firebird comes prepared to handle the gnarliest trails. We were stoked to get this bad boy out on some of Tucson, Arizona’s rocky, loose trails during Vital MTB Test Sessions to find out if these changes result in big gains. Highlights Carbon frame 27.5-inch wheels 170mm (6.7-inches) of rear wheel travel // 170mm (6.7-inches) fork travel dw-link suspension design Internal cable...
