3/27/2025 1:15am Sam Hill said... SRAM didn’t even return an email or phone call when he was try to put a bike together most recently. Seems pretty disrespectful to athletes (and champs) that helped push your products for many years. It’s one thing to not resign a rider. It’s another to just ghost them like they never existed!

3/11/2025 8:35pm You are right, protection seems to be more minimalist and no longer full length. I have just jumped on the Leatt and Fox websites and it seems to be (i didn't look at every body protection option), the same not full length spine protection "style." Plus, i it looks like the guys and gals at Hardline, who use use Leatt...

3/11/2025 5:32am You have some super good points there. I was talking with a keen shuttler (uplifts) and he recommended TLD zip up body armour. Though its an old design it does cover/protect the sides of your ribs. I don't know about how low down your back it goes. The design is similar to the Aplinestars a-10 V2. But this is a...

3/6/2025 7:51pm That was not a bad event/concept. I like the idea where there are line choices and these lines can be used if you screw your chosen line up and you can at least finish your run.

2/14/2025 5:11pm I think fore/aft balance of suspension is one of the key thing to set up a bike correctly. You see far too many people setting their bike up based on 'getting bottom out once per ride' rather than chassis dynamic stability. In the simplest terms I set a bikes suspension by riding along and pushing down super hard towards the ground 90% legs/10% hands (or how you ride). The bike should move downwards parallel to the ground. This can be achieved lots lots or little sag, whatever your prefer, but this fore/aft balance is what means the bike behaves correctly...

2/14/2025 5:08pm I'm a big fan of testing, that part was cool. But missing some key points if the goal was to really compare steel to carbon as a frame material. (Sorry if this was covered at some point in the video, but it was too slow so I skipped around). 1) If you want to compare stiffness of different frame designs, that is great. But the frame shape, pivot locations and size, rockers links, etc all play a huge part in the overall stiffness numbers. To really isolate frame materials you would need two identical frame designs, with one made from...

1/14/2025 6:30pm I was wondering where Hrastnik was at in all this, she seemed to have slipped under the radar so far and is the only top 10 racer on the ladies side other than Cami that hasn't had an announcement yet. Also hoping Widmann gets scooped up by someone who needs a couple more points. Going to be honest, I hate it, but the points are making team rumors a bit more fun this year to see how everything fits together as things are announced.

1/14/2025 6:24pm Kinda disheartening to see all kinds of crappy team politics creeping in MTB. It is not a team sport and access to World Cup should be based on individual performance. A simpler system would make more sense and be more fair. Let's have a couple of continent qualifiers open to everybody (and broadcasted as a wc by W
anybody in the top 20 got a ticket to race wc. Teams then organize themselves around whoever can race.. We are going to see the value of WC racing dilute itself through the years..

1/5/2025 9:15pm It wasn't that long ago the brand was bought over by some investment company. My opinion - Maybe a bank balance or two at corporate is down a couple of zeros, so its goodbye sponsored athletes.
