They don't say which model of DT Swiss hub is on those wheels, but it looks like it's the 370, which is one of their lower spec hubs. Also the 240/350 use a crown wheel type freewheel and the 370 uses paws, which are not as reliable, in this case, when compared to the crown wheels found in the 240/350 hubs.

Just upgraded from a 1st generation to the 3rd generation Maya. Your head sits in the helmet lot more now and the padding is more sparse and not as comfy, but i guess that due to their new crash protection features. The extra venting does its job well and dial clicker for getting the fit just right, is an improvement. The front edge of the helmet does sit a little too low for my liking and i feel that i spend more time looking down the trail passed that front edge more than i used to, but if that is...

You are actually free to have fun in NZ and ride how you want. Each lift pass comes with a guy ironically named Paver. He follows you around with a shovel. Keeps you happy and him employed.

While I agree with your sentiments on UCI giving close to zero f*cks about DH, it can be argued that without Redbull, UCI could very well reduce DH even further or remove it from overall broadcasts. With all it's faults, Redbull has done a lot for our sport many other potential sponsors and even UCI have dismissed.

9/3/2020 1:06am Still running the Marys front and rear. The rear, obviously rolls better with up to 4psi more than I would run a DHR2, though the grip is not really effected by the increase of pressure.

By running a gearbox, you get a more centralized weight distribution, slightly stabilized weight as well, I think (?).
