Hi I'm Alex, I'm 18 and I'm from London, England. My local forest is only a few square miles across, and there's only one major hill and about 5 trails that last around 30 seconds, but I still love Mountain biking Smile . I've been riding Mountain bikes for around four years now, I also ride BMX, Cyclocross, and Track also...

Super long reach is NOT an exaggeration, since it means a steep seat angle, putting you more towards the front axle when sitting down. This assuming a normal sized top tube of course. EDIT: ah, it was meant as in the article, not in general. I thought you meant a super long reach is a pointless marketing scheme or sth. Never mind me, carry on

AGR97 Added a reply to Interesting Shimano Dropper Post Patent

Seems to me like Shimano love a complicated product, I have no doubt it will be built well and perform well. But I find myself asking if this extra R&D and money could be spent on making the whole range more affordable, rather than something very few people will be able to notice?

Barel deserves a mention for his contribution to both riding technique and bike geometry. The guy is a wizard and watching his Dirt interview on flow did more for my riding than years at my local cycling club

In Downhill, Aaron Gwin. He may not have as many wins as Nico or Greg, but he's won 41% of all UCI DH rounds in the last five seasons. Not to mention several runs that will go down in history, Val di sole 2012, Lourdes and Windham 2015, and of course THAT run in Leogang. I believe to come into...

It still seems like Shimano doesn't want the front derailleur to die and will fight with all their might to keep it alive. Fucking gearbox already. Invest in a real "point of difference" against Sram. BRING BACK THE HONDA!!

Just give up 2X Shimano! No one needs or wants a front derailleur except for out of shape people who suck at riding and honestly; Who cares about them? Stop trying to take us back in time! 1X is fine until you can develop a light gearbox in the bottom bracket with a strong wire drive to the rear wheel.
