If the liaison times/distance/route were not published last year, I would say it is a bit unfair considering they were much more relaxed in past years. It would be like training for a 100m sprint and then being asked to run the 10k - sure you could probably do it, but it would be sub-optimal compared to training specifically for a longer race.

I think everyone is missing the point. They are testing liaison periods for e-enduro. There is a always the season before the season and the racers know it. They are guinne pigs, and we should anticipate those more likely to speak out to continue to be vocal and say things with information on mind that most of us do not know. To be fair, it seems I've seen this on a few racer recaps so far. It seems like the time gaps between stages were too tight for a lot of people to even make the stage start. Not that we'll ever know with non-existent coverage.

Cramming too many riders into a 5 stage race is far off from having an epic 2 day race. Nobody is complaining about climbing it’s about the time they expect you to do it in and then race down at maximum.
