Do you think I'd be better trying a VPN?
Yesterday I was stuck in a account verification loop and i gave up, today it went straight no dramas.
Now to try and figure out how to get the naver app in English...
Honestly, it's hit and miss. Basic Naver registration can get done fairly easily, but to really be able to do anything you normally need a Korean Resident ID and phone with a local carrier. It's all linked together.
I'm going to make a broad assumption that purchasing tickets at the event is probably the easiest thing to do. Looking up ticket sales for other races doesn't really bring much up either.
I'll keep trying, but you're advice about picking up tickets at the event is probably the way to go.
Yeah, it can be a headache. Korea is crazy convenient once you're in the digital ecosystem. Often a nightmare if you're not.

In other news, course inspection with medical teams and WBD today!
Looks sweet, but a bit bike park double black jump line. I bet that tree section will rut up and that they've got some more tech in other places on the track
Well, we have seen a few meters of the whole track so far....
Hill seems to be relatively steep, which is always good.
Please let’s not start that ”it’s too bike park” track talk again, we all know how it went with Poland. Just wait until we see riders riding it.
Can't help it when those are the pictures that they show haha. It's definitely not all there is to the track, and pictures of Rock gardens don't make most people excited for the Race haha
Lacanuck24 does the mountain have any wild rocky sections? not judging the track at all just purely pondering where will be the best spots to sit and watch the wildest lines.
cheers
I wish I could tell you more, but they've been pretty tight on sharing much of the track. I've only been to the top as a tourist, as the bike park runs on the opposite side of the resort. Gonna have to wait for track walk videos and photos to really figure things out as spectators. I choose to have faith in the main builders, Frank and Jimi, that the course is going to have everything that a proper DH track requires.
When you're coming up to the DH, I'd prepare ahead of time for food/drink at least on day one. There are some options at the top in the gondola house, but we don't know what's going on around the DH finish/pit area. While I'm sure there'll be some options other than the fan zone, I'm guessing the selection will be somewhat limited. Initially, the word was that the DH was going to finish in the main village area, with all its conveniences. Now that we know it's off to the side, we're prepping the entire day's supplies as it'll probably be a 30 minute round trip down to the village.
The XC is right in the main village. Everything down there is super convenient, and only some of the restaurants and amenities charge resort prices.
Is anyone aware of what the bike park situation will be like? Is there an opportunity to rent a bike and ride anything? Have tried to get some info from my hotel at the resort but not having much luck.
Only two trails will be open because the XC track runs cuts across most of the lower half of the park.
Rentals, they have really old GT Sanctions that are being retired for Zerodes but there's been no word on when the Zerodes arrive.
Alpensia Resort around the corner "has" a bike park but they've been real quiet about things this season. Their stuff is mainly Blue-Green stuff that locals call a pump track.
Wellihilli Resort has been digging like crazy this year. The resort is maybe 30-40 minutes west of Yongpyong. They say they have at least one or two rentals.
Unfortunately, MTB rentals barely exist in Korea, even at the parks. Touring bikes galore for riding Seoul-to-Busan.
Never understood the Naver thing when I lived there , even with local IP I couldn’t understand much anyhow with the language barrier.
