My restomod project of a ratty 2005 Stab Deelux. Stripped back & re-powder coated. Full bearing replacement. New floating brake assembly. Most of the parts I had laying around to build it up, so nothing too fancy.
I have rebuilt all the logos and decals on my computer & then got them printed and cut, so to backdate the branding to the very cool 1999-2000 era of Kona's.
Also something special, I designed with a local bike machine shop CXP Racing Components a mod to replicate Fabien's WC winning Stab. Look carefully at the lower shock mount. There is a special insert that allows me to reverse the rocker arms, which in turn lowers the BB & slackens the HA.
This is the third Stad I have restomoded. I also have a Fabien Barrel 2005 Stab Supreme that I have raced with 27.5 wheels and I rebuilt another 2005 Stab Deelux for mate here in NZ. See the last two pics.
