Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
To stay on the topic of this page, here is my homemade prototype!! I did all the design, calculation, nearly all the CNC machining as well by myself and now it is riding since May 2013!!
Can't say I'm a fan of the new one. 31lbs sounds almost too light
This is a Morewood Split Pivot prototype. It would later get some carbon stays and other tweaks to become the Sukuma. Fabian Cousine raced one at the Meagavalanche at Reunion Island. This one was shown at Interbike as a complete bike. Patrick helped build it the day before.
This is the prototype Corsair Imperium. It was shown at Sea Otter with a DH fork on it. I was testing some wheels and the 7" setting so it has a 55CR on it now. I will have to post a photo of it with all it's wheel sets, shocks, and forks. It's the test mule for a lot of Atomlab pieces.
this one w/ the white carbon fork legs was such a beauty
Not much information on it though
MTBR has a gang of photos on the new bike and frame (haha right?)
I lost my shit when Transition first dropped the TR450, so damn sexy at the time.
This Stunner.
Enjoy!

"Woah woah woah, easy there internets... It's an SB6c with 40's. That really escalated quickly. Sorry if this comes as a disappointment, but I can assure you all it isn't a disappointment to ride!"
This on the other hand...

bump because holy crap, this thread is almost 10 years old.
Saw one alive and running still at big sky last year….
WOW!
Czech made Race Bike Dragster Gearbox DH bike with Brembo brakes. I do believe circa 2006. All in house, gear box was similar to what Honda was running but patented. Raced by Petr Heinik, ex European DH champ and part owner.
Never produced but they had similarly looking DH bikes (i owned two) that resembled the Ducati frame design.
Always fan of the brand, but too bad they died due to simply not being able to market themselves and evolve with the industry.
Vintage and obscure eye candy can be seen here

Sent you a PM, you should reactivate the Cannondale Doug Dalton links you did years ago showing all the crazy cannondale prototype race bikes

Ah bugger that’s a shame
Geeezzz, this thread has some great bikes in it. Ahead of their time!
